About Static And Cave

Background

They met by a chance encounter toward autumn. Cave Painting was wandering in the territory of a pack he was trying to gain membership in along with a female from said pack, one of the only wolves from it that didn't move away when he approached. Toward the edge of the boundary, Static was chasing after rodents, seeking a meal; food is harder to obtain for the wolf that lives alone. Cave and the female found and drove him away. Cave, however, was very fascinated by him, and was soon drawn to track him down. He found Static in the territory where he'd been before. Static was wary of the stranger; he had had bad experiences associating with others, who always seemed to favor leaving him alone to dealing with his baggage, and Cave had driven him away before. But Cave's charisma and warm nature eventually breached Static's icy walls, and he welcomed Cave as a friend. After a few weeks of visiting with Static on his free time, Cave gave up on trying to join the pack. He had tried with many packs before and only received wounds. Static was glad to allow Cave to join him as a wanderer. In time, they both fell in love and became partners.
