With some intent recapture and relocate and others wishing to make them extinct once more, a small number of teams descend to Isla Nublar, divided by their own intentions. All differences will be set aside however when disaster strikes, and all those upon the island itself they stranded. Will they work together to survive Isla Nublar and its inhabitants? Name: Accipiter (Latin for "hawk") Age: 6 Gender: Female Sexuality: ?? (has never met another member of her own species) Type of character: Dinosaur Side and Occupation: Her own Appearance: Standing six feet tall at the shoulder, Accipiter is covered from nearly head to toe in very soft reddish-brown feathers that fade to cream on her belly. Primaries sprout from the end of her tail and her arms, giving her the appearance of having short wings. She has a thick black stripe running down the side of her snout, and dark amber eyes. ( Reference for appearance: Image removed by moderator ) Personality: Many of the carnivorous dinosaurs at Jurassic World display unusual aggressiveness and ferocity towards not only humans and other animals, but even towards their own species. It turns out that the careless gene splicing the scientists at the park did to them may have had something to do with that, as Accipiter, who somehow managed to switch nearly if not all the additions the Jurassic World scientists made to her DNA into dormancy during her incubation, displays little to any of the hyperaggression the other Jurassic World carnivores, and especially the other raptors, do. This doesn't mean that she wouldn't be aggressive given the right circumstances, but she'd act much more like a modern-day predator would. She is also somewhat reclusive when it comes to humans and other large dinosaurs - she knows they're around, she can hear and smell them from her territory, but she's smart enough to realize that it's better to steer clear of them if she has the option. Backstory: Accipiter was originally supposed to be "Foxtrot," the fifth member of Owen Grady's raptor squad. However, she hatched a few hours early, before Owen could arrive, covered in a full coat of downy feathers. It was well-known by this point that many predatory dinosaurs were supposed to have feathers, of course, but Jurassic World was not interested in making them that way because of the common perception that dinosaurs were scaly reptiles. With the park being located near the equator, the animals would not suffer. As a result, despite the potential breakthrough in research that her existence represented, Accipiter was deemed a failed specimen and given to an intern to be disposed of. When Owen Grady arrived, he was told that the fifth egg was found to be a dud. The intern she was given to, however, was young and idealistic, and thought it was foolish to discard such a valuable research specimen just because it wouldn't be as popular with the public. As a result, he drove the hatchling raptor to the restricted area where the visitors' center from the original park was located and left her there, closing the gates behind him. That was all he could do, for more than one reason, but at least he had given the hatchling a chance. Accipiter managed to survive by eating the non-perishable stores of food in the visitors' center until she was big enough and skilled enough to reliably catch prey on her own. There were no other dinosaurs in the restricted area, and humans never seemed to go there, so her diet consisted of the small animals native to Isla Nublar. Accipiter was very safe in the restricted area, managing to avoid the Indominus rex incident almost entirely, and came to think of it as her territory. It isn't that she never wonders what's outside, but she knows that there's danger out there, and none inside. That was, until the ground began to shake, water in the lakes turned hot, and all the prey animals that she depends on suddenly migrated southward. For the first time since she can remember, Accipiter has to leave her comfortable home and venture into the unknown, if only in search of food. Short Roleplay Example: It had been a trying day for Accipiter, and she was glad to finally make it back to her home at the old visitors' center in the restricted area of Isla Nublar. She had run into some large armored creatures on the edge of her territory who weren't supposed to be there. She had tried to drive them off back where they had come from but had been unable to even scratch their armor. To add insult to injury, they hardly seemed interested in driving her off, and Accipiter had been forced to return home in defeat, to hope they would wander back into their own territory on their own. Accipiter settled down onto her nest on a ledge just below a dome of clear material that let light into the area below. She could observe the entire place from there, and it had a good view of the Other Raptor as well. The Other Raptor stood against the wall near the ground. He never moved or made a sound, and his skin was strange and pebbly. Accipiter had eventually figured out that the Other Raptor wasn't real, but he was the closest thing she had to a companion, and sometimes looking at him made her feel less lonely. "This one a' theirs?" "That road leads straight back to the park." "How'd they even get one a' these things started?" What - what was that? More intruders? Not just into Accipiter's territory this time, but her den? And judging by all the banging that was going on, fairly sizable ones. Accipiter stood up in her nest, a low growl rising in her throat. After the humiliation she had suffered earlier today, she would not let this stand. She would run those interlopers so far out of her territory that their offspring's offspring would be scared to return! The intruders had fallen silent all of a sudden. Accipiter allowed a feeling of fierce superiority to wash over her - they had likely realized she was there, and fled instead of having to face such a terrifying predator. It was then, though, that she realized something wasn't right. Accipiter could quietly hear what almost sounded, well, like what another raptor would sound like if she'd ever heard one. It wasn't quite right - it was much too deep, for one thing, and -- And then the roof caved in. Not the roof that Accipiter was standing under, there was another part of the building with a lower ceiling where the intruders were - well, where they had been - which had crashed in. From the outside, strangely enough. Wanting to see exactly what was capable of punching a hole in the ceiling of a building, Accipiter hopped down to floor level and exited through the service entrance out the back. Accipiter couldn't believe her eyes when she found out what was making the raptor sounds. It was a giant predator, over forty feet long and with razor sharp teeth and claws, and ramming itself into the outside wall of her den to boot. Why could it speak raptor? Who cared? That thing could eat her! Accipiter fled just as the giant carnivore broke through the wall and ran inside the old visitors' center, its head turning skyward as it destroyed the decaying walkway as if it expected something to be there that wasn't. Name: Tory Blackwell Age: 29 Gender: Female Sexuality: Heterosexual Type of character: Human Side and Occupation: Wildlife Rehabilitator; Preventing the dinosaurs from getting off the island Appearance: Tory stands moderately tall, at about 5'9" in height. She has aa somewhat long face with a pointed chin, with bright green eyes and dark hair swept back into a ponytail. Her skin is a dark tan from long hours spent out in the sun. She wears a black tank top, a pair of khaki shorts with a jacket tied around her waist, and a pair of steel-toed boots. Personality: Tory has developed an independent and forceful personality during her years on the job; something that was necessary working in an extremely rural area that was often short on resources. She's a dedicated environmentalist, and deeply believes in preserving the ecosystem for future generations. Backstory: In college, Tory interned at a wildlife rehabilitation center in central Africa specializing in large mammals and fell in love with it so much that as soon as she graduated she accepted a full-time job there. While she worked there Tory steadily accumulated a great deal of expertise on rehabilitating injured wildlife and returning them to the wild. While she was aware of the existence of Jurassic World, Tory was too busy with her career to ever visit the park while it was open. She had a neutral opinion of using genetically engineered dinosaurs as theme park attractions as long as it was on an isolated island, but then the park was shut down, the dinosaurs were left to fend for themselves in the wild, and the DPG was formed. Tory might have supported its cause about preserving the lives of the dinosaurs left on the island . . . if they were actually dinosaurs. She knew enough about how they were created to know that in reality they were just genetic chimeras that happened to mostly look like dinosaurs on the outside. As far as Tory was concerned, the best thing for the escaped pseudo-dinosaurs was to live out the remainder of their lives on Isla Nublar, where they could do minimal harm to the world's ecosystem. Tory then received a phone call from the DPG, explaining that an expedition was being sent to Isla Nublar to retrieve as many dinosaurs as possible from there. Even though she was not a member of their organization, they wanted her to come along due to her experience with rehabilitating and relocating animals. Tory was hesitant at first, but then realized that a way to keep the dinosaurs on the island had practically fallen into her lap, one she almost certainly wouldn't get again, and agreed to their offer, without telling the DPG about her own personal plans, of course. Name; Lena Anne Wilmarth Age; 31 Gender; Female Sexuality; Heterosexual Type of character [ Dinosaur, Hybrid or Human ]; Human Side and Occupation; She’s unsure of which side she’s on; she was previously a veterinary assistant, but now works an office job. Appearance; She is 5’4”, 133 lbs, with strawberry-blonde hair and hazel eyes. Her skin has a light complection, and is sensitive to the environment. She is most often seen wearing a T-shirt and shorts, or a shirt and short skirt, along with tennis shoes. Personality; Lena has a very melancholic personality, and tries to be sensitive to others and their needs. She hates confrontation, and her light, easy-going attitude often leaves her feeling hurt, or gets her into trouble. Backstory; Extensive: Lena grew up in South Carolina, where her parents raised a small farm. Ever since she was young she adored animals, and was most excited when news came of the recreation of dinosaurs. She ignored her parents warnings and decided that one day, she would become an expert on these animals, and work at the biggest live-attraction park there was: Jurassic Park. This dream was crushed when the park never opened, yet Lena continued her work and research until Jurassic World made its debut. Immediate: She was working at Jurassic World when it all went bad. The veterinary assistant had been doing extensive research on the Triceratops in the park, but was unable to complete this research (due to obvious reasons). Now she works an office job in California, until the debate begins about what to do with the dinosaurs. Short Roleplay Example; Lena watched as the chaos unfolded before her. She was unsure of what to do first, until she heard that there would be teams coming to evacuate the Island. Her heart sank as she realized it was all going to hell...a small iota of fear crept into her mind. What if she didn’t survive? How many people would have to die before the evacuation? She pushed the thoughts from her mind, forcing herself to concentrate on those around her. A teammate was bleeding out from the nearby attack. Someone had to help him. The blonde-haired woman snatched up the closest medical kit and ran from the building, placing her sights on the dying man. Other; Jurassic World Name; Triceratops Age; 3 years Gender; Female Sexuality; Heterosexual Type of character [ Dinosaur, Hybrid or Human ]; Dinosaur Side and Occupation; Herbivore? Does that count? Appearance; She has a large frill, topped with small, dull horns. Below this are two larger, sharper horns, along with a nose horn similar to a rhino's. Her mouth was obviously made for tearing at plants, and her stocky, thick-skinned body protects her from bigger, carnivorous dinos. Personality; She is a timid, human-friendly dinosaur, unless her children are threatened. Backstory; She was created with a simple form of genetic science when Jurassic World opened. Short Roleplay Example; The small female blinked, keeping the dirt out of her eyes. She watched shyly as other herbivores crossed her path; she had to be vigilant and alert in order to keep her eggs from being eaten or trampled by another dinosaur. The thick-skinned animal turned to look at the eggs again. To her they were small, yet to a human, they could've been relatively large. They were off-white, and spotted, with a tough shell that showed they had only recently been laid. Other; Jurassic World 0 players like this post! Like? (WIP) Name; Ryley Argosy Age; 24 Gender; Female Sexuality; Biromantic/Asexual Type of character [ Dinosaur, Hybrid or Human ]; Human Side and Occupation; Pro-Dino / Animal Psychologist Appearance; Ryley doesn't really stand out in terms of appearance, having shoulder-length brown hair constantly pulled back in a ponytail and green eyes hidden behind a pair of prescription glasses (A minor prescription, it's not the end of the world if something happens to the lenses). She's rather pale when it comes to skin tone, preferring to research in a lab instead of in the field (Even though the latter is necessary), and the skin on her face is covered by faint freckles over her cheeks ad nose. She normally wears all black beneath a white lab coat, and stands at five foot six. Personality; While she looks well put together, her personality is contradictory toward itself, being simultaneously sassy and incredibly shy. This contradiction irritates her quite a bit, creating quite a lot of turmoil in her head when it comes to how to act toward others, explaining why she prefers dinos over people. Also, because of this, others tend to find her weird, if not very annoying. Backstory; -bullied in school yay -learned to read people and animals -visited jurassic park/world as a kid, fascination with dilophosaurs -got a job at jurassic world as a veterinary psychologist, but was only there for a few weeks as things went to shit -Specifically created a bond with an estranged dilo known as Fynn -came along for the rescue mission to assess the dinos' psychological health Short Roleplay Example; Other; Jurassic World -- Name; Fynn or "Asset # 60023 Age; 5 Years Gender; Female Sexuality; Doesn't really know, doesn't really care, and doesn't really feel the need to figure it out yet. Type of character [ Dinosaur, Hybrid or Human ]; Dinosaur - Specifically a Dilophosaur Side and Occupation; Carnivore, however oddly friendly Appearance; Fynn takes on a more vivid pattern than other Dilophosaurs, with deep violet accents marking her body, especially on her longer-than-normal frill. The rest of her body is a dulled-down, brownish-purple, with mint green, almost white, accents lining her back, tail, hind legs, and primarily covering her belly. These same accents present themselves in small amounts on her face, mainly between her nose and eye, and forearms, within the curve of her inner elbow. Fynn herself is quite small compared to other Dilophosaurs, and unfortunately for her, just enough so that her abnormally long frill becomes a bit of an obstacle. While it's not as much of one as it was when she was a hatchling, the scars and tears from the many falls she's taken remain embedded in it, including recent additions from getting impaled by branches. To top it all off, complimenting her purplish appearance, she has deep red eyes instead of the standard orange. (I probably did a shoddy job of describing the vivid color pattern from evolution, but i tried) Personality; A bit odd compared to others of her species, she views humans as entertainment instead of prospective prey, similar to how humans view circus monkeys, making her seem strangely friendly toward them, although not domesticated by a large margin. Her odd view on life forms around her ostracizes her a little bit, not getting along with other Dilophosaurs as well as she is supposed to. More in line with her species, however, she shows no mercy to her prey, even playing and torturing some species, such as the Struthiomimus, with her venomous spit and then circling it purely to see its reaction, then killing it. Backstory; A fairly recent addition to Jurassic World before its inevitable demise, Fynn found her entertainment in watching the humans fawn over her and the other Dilophosaurs. Unlike many dinos, though, she doesn't think of humans as prey, just entertainment. Similar to what circus monkeys are to humans. Name; Sandra Wu Age; 30 Gender; Female Sexuality; Heterosexual Type of character [ Dinosaur, Hybrid or Human ]; Human Side and Occupation; Former Velociraptor Behaviourist/ Now assisting in Recapturing and Relocating Dinosaurs Appearance; Employee stands 5'8, has long brown hair seen standardly in a ponytail, wears either plaid or logo tee-shirts, jeans or denim shorts, boots, a messenger bag containing neccessary items. Personality; Employee comes of as shy at first, but once warmed up she comes off as loyal, protecting, and very friendly. She is known to show a sillier and nerdier side to herself. When she is around males she is known to studder and revert back to her shyness. Backstory; Employee was adopted at age six by Doctor Henry Wu. She was raised alongside two Velociraptors that were secretly taken from Jurassic Park. In being raised with such animals Sandra grew up to study Velociraptors and become a behavourist. Doctor Wu managed to obtain her a job at Jurassic World at the age of 27 working alongside Mr. Owen Grady. Short Roleplay Example; Sandra exited her trailed to see the sun bairly rising over the dormant volcano in the distance. She took a deep breath smelling the fresh early morning jungle air. It was quiet which was unusual. Normally Dinosaurs could be heard from sun up to sun down communicating with each other. This place was Isla Nublar and home of Jurassic World. She looked down at her Jeep that had been provided by the park and took the four steps down to it. The door opened with one pull of the black handle. With one last look around Sandra climbed inside slambing the door... Other; Sandra is in love with Owen Grady, but understands that if they are meant to be friends then that's how things will be. Also she wears a dinosaur tooth necklace from her Velociraptor "sister" Opal. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Name; Rain Age; 5 years Gender; Female Sexuality; Straight Type of character [ Dinosaur, Hybrid or Human ]; Dinosaur, Baryonyx Side and Occupation; Carnivore, nom nom :D Appearance; Sourced from: http://dinosaur-island-bioniclesaurus.wikia.com/wiki/Baryonyx A rather brightly coloured carnivore, Rain was named after the distinct blue streak down her eyes, which resembled water. Gold and yellow accents/ stripes run throughout her whole body, a top of a brown/golden base. Rain has striking orange eyes that will pierce through your soul if you stare right back. Specks of orange dot her whole figure, as well as golden dots at the front of her muzzle. Personality; Rain, being a relatively young Baryonyx, is still pretty playful, and learning new things everyday. She is however, really intelligent, and can interact properly if trained well, or she might just figure out how to unlock her cage. Rain, unlike some carnivores, is on the soft side, despite her appearance and her species, she possess a golden heart. Toward other carnivores though, she is a little cautious. Being smaller and weaker in statue, she tends to stay away from older dinosaurs, even herbivores. When in danger, Rain will do her best to fend off the opponent, and will strike with no hesitation if given no choice. For humans, she sees them as...well, both prey and the ones who provide food? Well, it depends. If a guy charges into her domain with a taser and shouts at her, she will simply ignore, or push him away. Backstory; Rain was created and hatched in the facility of Jurassic World, and that would explain her passive agressiveness towards humans. however, when disaster struck, she broke and ran free. She still has an ID tracker on her, and well, when Owen wasn't training the raptors, he went to her, a small, tiny little Baryonyx hatchling and attempted to train her. Thus she still remembers his scent and all the wonderful treats he gave her for listening to him. But some of that memory was lost after she ran free. Owen was the only human she was able to connect with, because of her intelligence. She now runs free in the wilderness of Isle Nublar, but, she doesn't stray far from the compound. Short Roleplay Example; Rain heard a loud roar in the distance...she thought to herself, a Trex? hmm...better be careful. She padded her way deeper and deeper into the forest that once surrounded her home, the park that brought her to life, where she met a wonderful human, and where the disaster happened. The nostalgia that hit her everytime she looked back at the compound was nerve wrecking, but she knew to move forward..and find some food. The young Baryonyx made her way to a small water hole created by downpours of rain, her footsteps echoing quietly in the vast forest. She took a few elegant sips of water, before letting out a small grunt, and laying her body to rest. "Thud." Other; Jurassic World 0 players like this post! Like?
