I’m wondering what his stud worth is? And if he’s good or not?

he is beautiful
but I don’t think that would determine stud fee
because he has many marks that are not rare and when bred off could make some pretty ugly potatoes... heavy mane is not often sought after, and the only markings he has that are occasionally sought after are hyenna stripes, feralis onyx and golden marozi
and of course he has a special base, but everyone who is looking for a special base rn is probably also looking for a rosette marking, which he doesn’t have
his cubs will only most likely earn 3 of his markings at most, if any at all
and not many people want primal anymore, it’s too common. people really enjoy piebald studs atm
If he has a history of pretty cubs it is good to keep track of that and say it in your stud description

but I would only price him 400sb per stud tops and I don’t think he would get people lining up to him for studs very often
even though he is pretty boy
sorry if that upsets you

I have an ugly stud oof I’m still on my first king, yours will definately get more attention than mine at least

the best way to determine a stud fee is to set him low and advertise and see if you sell out. if you do, you raise it by 50 and go again the next week until you get to the right point that you're almost/just barely selling out at the fee.

I would at least remove the cheetah marking
not many people like cheetah markings unless it’s inverted

If you could add any markings I would suggest trying for a rosette with a random marking app
and pray to the heavens, if you find an interstellar base app in explore use it on him.
and try using a mane changer on him(if it does not affect mutation, because I’m unsure if it does), because even if it is not visual it would be better for breeding because there is only a slight chance his cubs will be muts so any male cubs he have will inherit a nicer mane
I Honestly think bloodbourne would look best on him for a base though
I will go check your den now and reply later once I see them

I really like glass but she is low on markings and because they are female you cannot make them your heir
any king that looks like a female has an item called lab test frog on them to make them look like the opposite sex, but in reality they are still males
and if you sex change those girls they will lose their mutations

I’m pretty sure I saw pain in tc a few hours ago
I actually almost bought her myself lol

I messed around with him a bit in wardrobe and this is what I came up with

it may not be as pretty but it is more valuable and seeked by the public

It’s worth bearing in mind also that all this stuff is very subjective - everybody likes different things, so there isn’t really a right answer with pricing or with which markings to add or remove. For instance, personally, it would be the marozi that most puts me off; I don’t have a problem with one or two cheetah markings. And mane type doesn’t matter a huge amount imo either, because it’s mostly going to be female cubs people are keeping anyway. Manes really only matter if someone is looking for an heir.

Also - I would personally very much not recommend trying to get exceptionally rare markings like rosettes from RMAs. It’s a very very low chance of getting them, and it could easily cost you hundreds of GB for no reward. Mottled rosette also isn’t in the RMA at all, it can only be bred.

My advice would be to price him as low as you’re comfortable with, and see if he gets any interest. Then if not, work on adding markings you personally like. It’s more important to have a king you love than one a lot of other people like, imo :)

(Amethyst comes from the Dust: Amethyst, craftable in February from amethyst gems, or bought from other people any other time. Bismuth would be more popular these days though I would say, generally, though I don’t think eyes are what makes or breaks a stud)

Also, just to clarify something said earlier - if you wanted to you can in fact sex change the female muties you mentioned to male without them losing their mutations. As long as they are under 2 years old and not gender-specific mutations (such as mane muties), muties can be sex changed and keep their mutation just fine :)
