Hey new lioden players! The purpose of this thread is to teach you tips that I personally wish I knew about when starting out. Hopefully you learn something! If you have any questions or suggestions feel free to drop a comment below. Without further adieu... Getting Territory for Free Yes, free! This is the number one mistake I see newbies make. DON'T spend money on expanding your territory! You can get up to 40 slots for free! What you want to do is find another player to fight, either through the territory map or the search feature. Ideally, find a lion with lower stats than yours. Then, scroll down to the bottom of their den page until you see this drop-down menu. Fight that lion, and hopefully you'll win and gain more slots for lionesses! Make Money Every Day, Easily There are two things I do every day to make some extra SB. Sell rotting carcasses If you hunt a lot, chances are you have a lot of spare carcasses lying around after you feed your pride. After your lions are fed for the day, head over to monkey business. If you have any spare rotting carcasses, you should see this button: You can make a decent chunk every day by doing this, which is great since the carcasses were going to rot away anyway, The monkey pays more for carcasses with more uses. Here's how much I got from the above transaction: Play Serengeti Shuffle Serengeti shuffle is the best (consistent) game for making money at the moment. By getting a score of 3500 or above you can win items like black stallions, giant tortoises, and honeycombs, which can sell for 1 GB on branches! You can only submit one score a day for a prize. Still, its a great way for new players to make some easy early GB. Claim Every Lioness Here's another hot tip: Try to claim every lioness. After you expand your territory enough (see above), claiming new lionesses can only help you. Don't be picky! Benefits of claiming all the lionesses:
Cotton Root Bark? Cotton root bark is an item that significantly increases the chances of a mutation appearing in your next litter. I have personally bred 5 muties using cotton root bark! Finding an NCL with the cotton root bark status is pretty lucky - if she has the effect active it will look like this: Best of all, she will already be in heat, so you don't have to do any waiting. Note: You can't tell if an NCL has a cotton root bark effect on the claim page. You can only tell after you successfully get her to join your pride! Try to claim every lioness! Chased NCLs? Sometimes, when you encounter an NCL in the wild, she will look much more special than a regular wild lioness. That's a chased lioness! Chased lionesses are, as the name implies, lionesses that other players have chased away from their prides. While their appearance stays the same, their heritages and stats are wiped. Its a fun way to unexpectedly stumble on a pretty lioness when you aren't expecting it! Some players (myself included) only breed with chased NCLs as a way to keep the heritages of our lions looking neat and tidy. So even if a chased NCL doesn't appeal to you, you could probably sell it easily on the trading center. Chased lionesses also have a chance, like any other wild lioness, to have cotton root bark effects or poses equipped. Long-term money making The best way to make GB in large amounts is to sell items you get from events! The best items to buy for profit are applicators and items that help with breeding. These will always be in demand (especially breeding items), and you can make plenty of GB by selling them! Decors on the other hand are a little harder to sell, because they aren't usually in demand. It's usually worth it to sit on your event and breeding items for a few months, if you can, to wait for the price to increase. However, if you need GB in the shot term, there's no shame in cashing out. Just be aware that players will tend to make lowball offers on the forums (particularly if they are buying in bulk) so be careful! To prove the effectiveness of event item merching, here's part of my GB log from last week, when I sold some applicators from the October event. 49 GB isn't too shabby! Don't underestimate the strength of events! 1 player likes this post! Like? Edited on 10/07/18 @ 21:28:44 by Busilisk (#91046) |
