Note - if you don't want to read a boring explanation, what will be happening is this:

Basically, Mars will be brighter in the sky this year and won't be this bright again for another 17 years. My idea is highlighted in bold, to save you reading any further unless you're interested in a few more details.

Hi guys! Mars lover over here, and I've got an idea for a unique decor! Basically, the low-down is this. Every couple of years, Mars and Earth basically hang out alongside each other as we orbit around the sun (not really, in truth there is a WHOLE lotta space separating our planets, obviously). Generally speaking, it takes earth one year to orbit the sun. Mars, however, takes two years. Basically, the phenomena is known as opposition - because the Sun and Earth and Mars are.. Well.. Opposite!

Sure, that isn't so special and this is boring by now, right? Well - the interesting thing about this year is that it is something known as a perihelic opposition. What the heck is that? Well, technical junk on that can be found here - but it is all so very boring, unless you are like, idk, keen on Mars or really bored :P But - the short handled version is that it is the point in time when Mars orbits the closest to the sun.

Why is that interesting? The last time this occurred was in 2003 - and would you believe it, but the last time it ever came as close was almost 60,000 years prior to that! So yeah, getting more intriguing, maybe? But what's that got to do with now? WELL! The nitty gritty of this entire blah-blah post is this:

This year is another perihelic opposition, the first to occur for the last 14 years and the second time in nearly 60,000 years. It also happens to be the last time it will supposedly occur for another 17 years.

I thought, being the month of celestial-happenings on Lioden, that it would be appropriate to mark this event with either,

a) a tribute kinda decor - available only during the time of this celestial event, which is from July 27th - July 31st. Perhaps a starry background with a brighter than usual Mars in the constellations, much like what we will be seeing during this time in real life.

b) A one day occurrence where all the lions on Lioden will appear to have a slightly red-tinge on their images, a slightly exaggerated version of this celestial event. The best day for this to appear would be July 27th when the planet enters what I like to call "opposition mode" - this is the point at which Mars should be the brightest it will be.

c) The ability to buy a decor, available for one day only, of either of the above ideas or something completely different and better than what I've suggested.

Basically, I'd just really love something to mark this event and felt it would be super fitting given the event of the month being based around the stars and the planets and celestial happenings. It could be a totally ultra rare decor, being that perihelic opposition won't be happening for many years to come, so this is a one time deal - if you miss out, you miss out.
