I totally agree with you so much and also the solaris base so low rate that only 9 have the app so far! That will be so high after the event and 2 days till the event ends!

I'm still hating this change too.. Lion Scrotum for only 5% pass chance per cub is absolutely ridiculous, especially when the item itself still states 25%. Logically speaking such exceptions shouldn't be possible.

My main issue with this is let's say you get a DU for breeding mutations with GMO cows or for trying to breed special bases. When your DU gets old, instead of focusing on breeding for the mutations or bases, you are busy trying to get another DU out of your girl so you can make sure you still have one after she dies. If pass rate won't be increased it would be nice if it could roll naturally like how leopons and tigons do.

^^ what Kitten Mitten said. My DU heats are now spent almost entirely on attempts to get another DU. I'm not ready to give them up because I spent too much on getting them in the first place, but I'm extremely frustrated with them. They're a crap investment now, not profitable to breed them. To properly breed a DU, you need Great Tit (2 gb), Lion Scrotum (26 gb), and Buffalo Scrotum (38 gb). That's 66 gb just for a CHANCE that the mut will pass.

At this point, I'm holding onto my DUs purely because I'm hoping that the pass rate will be adjusted and I won't lose my investment.

I don’t really support because the DU’s have purposes beyond mutie passing. A lot of players use them for base-passing instead, or trying to get that perfect heir.

Someone commented earlier that, before the change occurred, they got 3 DU’s in one litter. That was the major problem here - a mutation that was supposed to be on the rare side became more common than it should have been.

I see why you’re frustrated with spending all that GB each heat, but it’s not mandatory unless you’re trying to sell DU’s. And, with the price they’re going for, that’s 140-160 GB more than what you paid for the items. Still a nice bonus.

I'm not suggesting the pass rate go back to 25%. I'm suggesting it be changed to 12.5%, therefore still voiding the 3 DU's in a litter "issue", but at least giving a single lioness a fair chance at passing her mutation ONCE in her life.

It's not a bonus if the lioness isn't even likely to pass the mutation at all in any of her heats. I don't breed DU's, I frankly am not frustrated and I couldn't give less of a shit, but it isn't fair to other people. They absolutely are not selling at 140-160 GB more than the paid for items, the cheapest breedable DU is currently set at 40 GB, with another more than a year younger than her set at 45 GB. DU heats can be purchased at 10 GB because people don't want to waste their items. It's entirely ridiculous and it's the exact opposite of what the admins claim they were attempting by nerfing them in the first place. People aren't even using their DU's for projects most of the time because they're desperately trying to get just one single DU cub from their 8 year old DU.

That seems like a player problem more than a broken game problem? I’m interested in DU’s so I can try passing my Fuchsia base more, but I’m fine with working with chance and CRB. I’m just pointing out that, unlike Leopons, Primals, etc., who basically have nothing more to them than unique looks, a DU has a working mechanic. It just makes sense that it’s far rarer than the other mutations.

While I can understand everyone’s frustrations, I just think trying to force a DU out of your girl is on you, not the game.

Also: the GB thing was based on your primary post where it says 200+ GB. I only sell muties, I only breed them, so I didn’t know the current price for a DU. That was my fault, I’m sorry.

I never said it was a broken game problem? Not a single time. I'm just suggesting that it be changed. People like mutations. Sure, it has a function, but if someone wants to have an actual project with a DU they probably want a DU with a certain marking (ie rosettes), as that's a useful thing to have. The chance of being able to pursue that goal is extraordinarily low, improbable, in fact. You might not want your DU to pass her mutation, but most people who breed DU's do, and 5% is simply an unrealistic probability when the mutation requires items to pass in the first place.
