Lion Scrotums and Buffalo Scrotums together are far too expensive for staff to be pulling this crap. Add to the fact that even if your DU gives you double the amount a normal lioness would pass rates are still 50% singles which means you'd run the rusk of wasting 30ish+ gb on two measly fucking cubs who only have a 10% chance together to get anything.

DU is a mutation that by design creates multitudes more of itself, I feel like staff saw all the DUs suddenly all over the market and panicked. I agree 25% is too high but 5% is horribly low and effectively stomps out the market entirely. I strongly support 15%.

How did they not see that coming is my question. It's a lioness who can give you up to 8 cubs and a 25% chance for each one of those 8 to be a DU as well, who can themselves make more and more and more DUs.

Gee, and I thought I had a headache earlier...

5% chance per cub when you need to use an item for it to pass in the first place is disgusting, as is making it a unique exception to Lion Scrotum's pass rules.

Either make it pass on it's own like Pies/Primals/Pons, make Lion Scrots cost more Event currency in the future or reduce Lion Scrotum's success rate overall; there's no logical reason to justify this change (do the DUs suddenly only provide the most pristine, non-mutated eggs? Do the stud's sperm avoid any DU-gene-carrying eggs like the plague while not minding Melanism/Pie/Dwarf genes in other Lion Scrot briefings???) other than artificially preserving the rarity of a mutation we are rightfully pretty damn excited about.

I'm not sure why the rapid spread of a mutation that doubles litter sizes wasn't expected in the first place... just stop making unique exceptions to rules, if you're gonna change something make it an overall change.

15% is a literal compromise, but my thread lock senses still tingle.

DU breeding is expensive. This will just make it moreso. DU prices, from what I've heard, have already tripled.

I dont know why. If anything, this makes me NOT want to buy a DU.

The issue isnt with dus but lion scrotum themselves, literally ANY rare mutation that can be used with a lion scrot is going to go the route of dwarfism, unless there's breeding restrictions like mane imperial. The issue isn't dus, it's lion balls. The chance of lion balls in general should be lowered to 15%, otherwise this is going to happen to Every. Rare. Mutation that balls can be used on.
We've all seen what happened to dwarfism. That will happen to every rare mutation that lion balls can be used on. Are the admins just going to tank the pass rate for every new rare mutation that isn't a hybrid to keep it rare?

I don't know why did they change them after release? They should have thought about them spreading quickly before they even released them. Not like breeding them isn't expensive or something. I think they were fine at 25%. Even at 25% I had some DUs that gave all dud cubs and no DUs. It's not like Lion Scrotums were easy to come by.

With only 5% pass rate I can't see myself "wasting" lion balls on DUs and I think I'm not alone. Now this mutation will probably die out, which is a bummer. I enjoyed breeding them.

I think staff were panicing for noting. Lion Balls + GOP cost 20-35gb and Lion Balls + Buffy Balls are in the 30-60gb range, depending on when you buy them.
New 5% chances you'll get 1 DU about every 20 cubs. That is 3-5 breedings WITH items.
With GOP: 4 cubs (average 0,2 DU), 6 cubs (0,3 DU), 8 cubs (0,4 DUs). Cost of DU is 60-175gb.
With Buffy balls: 6 cubs (0,3 DU), 8 cubs (0,4 DUs). Cost of DU is 120-300gb.

Now tell me if there's anyone out there who would drop this money on a mutation that does nothing else just double the amount of cubs. Everyone would just simply use 2 lionesses instead. Even buying 2 celestial/skyward/sunset/sidereal lions would be cheaper than breeding out a DU version of them.

The appeal of du was that you could use a mutation item (gmo cow for example) and it would apply to both litters as long as the lioness isn't bred a second time. With this change it's going to be cheaper to just buy twice the amount of breeding items.

That's a point. The Dwarf mark is absolutely ass and the 25% rate is probably the culprit.

Them changing them after the news isn't ok. Some people don't immediately jump on the news. What about the people who were in the middle of doing a DU breed?

I feel like for some shit like that, they should've warned us a DAY in advance before they just change stuff outta nowhere ! Several users on the news post were LITERALLY in the middle of Balling and breeding their DU girls

Yeah, I immediately supported. This 5% thing makes no sense, but even at 15% it's a really ugly solution as this is the only exception to the item. Then make a completely new item to breed them or let them pass naturally at a low rate.
