Please do not bring back/bump old suggestion threads of mine without permission! I mentioned it in chat and Ezai encouraged me to suggest it, so here goes; Rabies is scary. Animals should be terrified of you. I was thinking, maybe having rabies also increases the chance of scaring away when roaring? Because you're so intimidating. The only big problem would be that it might outweigh the cons of rabies, so I'm open to ideas on how to balance it. One idea I had while typing the second paragraph would be maybe it doesn't work on rabid animals, since they're already too far gone. Just a thought ^^ #112370 "Chance to scare them away in battle, but also makes certain smaller or less hostile animal species show up less. Will give more of a reason to encourage you to cure it if you have quests you need. It'd also force you to buy Snake Scent if you wanted to keep the strength boost, potentially slightly increasing its value." |

A con could be you run out of energy faster when exploring? Rabid animals/people are hydrophobic (mainly because it's painful to drink due to the virus), in constant pain (during first stage, which is what our lion should be going through rather than straight to second stage), and I'm certain that would cause the lion to become exhausted. 0 players like this post! I am on the fence about this. As a training vet tech, I have learned A LOT about rabies over the past semester and a half of schooling. Rabies actually presents in two stages, the angry (attacking) and the dumb (paralysis) stage. I'd actually really like to see an adjustment to where maybe for the first day of rabies, your angry with the stat boost and the increased chance to maybe scare other animals off. Then the next day (after your rollover), or even after a few rollovers, you're back to your regular strength, but those same animals can now tell you're sick, and are possibly much stronger against you for it? I feel like that extra ability would be balanced better if there was some sort of drawback for keeping the rabies too long. It's just a suggestion, and I know lioden isn't all about realism, but it is a very serious and progressive disease and I would love to see it bathed into a little more light (plus it could be even scarier that your king is suddenly weak! Oooo spooks~) Also, it would make the devils claw item a little more useful (and worth a bit more, along with the other items as you'll be buying more devil claw!) because you need to use it to keep your king from getting his arse kicked. I know it prevents you from eating and getting energy, but those who have the resources to pour enough money into the game can bypass that with the energy root, thus it could even out the playing field just a bit. Gosh that was a lot of me vomiting words, I hope that all made sense! Edit: After reading I also remembered the drought event where you can't fight if you're too thirsty. It could be that you can't fight after the first day, or few, because you're too sick! 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 21/01/19 @ 21:34:29 by Emi Wolvesbane (#101377) |
