Endless plains, stretching beneath an endless sky. Winds rustling the grass and trees, and pushing along the wispy clouds. A burning hot sun beats down on sweaty, dust covered flanks, and the drumming of hooves on the dry, cracked ground booms like thunder for miles around. It is summer, and the horses of the plains are finding new places to eat, forming new herds and reforming after the chaotic round up. Mares are mourning their lost foals whilst the escaped few are prancing around happily. It is the beginning of a new year- the horses of the plains are ready. What will it bring?


Welcome to Winds of the Plains- a wild horse RP. This is a realistic RP.

Rules:
1. Be patient. Not everyone can manage to be online all the time, and as a result won't be able to post every day. If someone you are interacting with hasn't replied for a little while, just tell me and I'll sort it out (:
2. Power playing/God modding- Any taking over other's characters without their permission is called power playing. This isn't acceptable, and although sometimes it can happen by accident, please make sure you aren't doing it as it's not fair to the other player (:
3, Fighting. Out on the wild, stallions battle each other for a number of things, mostly over mares and territory. In a fight, if one occurs, I will roll using an RNG as to who will win. Stallions who are big and strong will naturally win over a smaller, less stocky horse, and as a result people have a tendency to make huge death machine horses to win all of the fights, and this makes it unfair and leads to power playing. If a fight starts out, you are welcome to play it out, but in the end the winner will be decided by RNG.
4. Horse Breeds- All horse breeds are allowed in this RP! Keep in mind though, if say a friesian horse is out in the wild, you must have a backstory to explain why they are there. They might have escaped, or been freed or dumped- be creative! I just ask that they are relatively realistic. Nothing like 'Fred the friesian horse was kidnapped by a UFO but he was too heavy and was dropped in the middle of the plains.'
5. Twins- Horses can have twins, however it is very rare and I will have slots in place as to who's mares are having twins that year.

6. Seasons: Seasons will be effective in this RP, and will change every 10 pages. Once the four seasons are up, a year will have passed. For now, there won't be any major events, but in the future I might implement a few to make things interesting. (Storms, roundups, etc)
7. Characters. You can have as many characters as you can handle, but there must be at least 5 sentences per post. If you have writers block i can understand, but please make an effort for other's sakes<3
8. Starting out/herds- When we start, all horses will be lone. Stallions can start meeting mares and claiming them, and once a group of horses reaches 3 or more, they will be called a herd. Before posting in the main thread, please get your horse's form accepted. Accepted means it's been checked over- the story makes sense, they meet breed standards, etc.
