I'm really very new to the game so I'm still struggling with the mechanics of the game, however, I've been blessed with the chance to try for a tigon so of course I'm going to take it. I have a few questions however.

1. I have a tigon boost. If I breed a VLF lioness and don't succeed, does the tigon boost disappear anyway, or does it remain until I've succesfully gotten her pregnant?

2. Should I even use a VLF lioness? Does fertility rate effect the Tigon mutation?

3. Should I also use a GMO cow? Does that affect the roll rate of a tigon? Do I just feed the cow to the lioness and then begin breeding her or how do mutation items in general work?

Thank you so much for help, whoever decides to take it up on themselves... I'm very confused, but I've gotten such luck RNG that I need to try this..!

Hey there!

The Tigon Boost banner will remain there until you succesfully breed one of your own ladies, no matter how many tries it tskes! As far as I understand, for the Tigon Boost you get from the explore encounter nothing you use for the breeding will matter: the boost rolls per litter, so you have 1/150 chance of it triggering or not. Like the other hybrid mutation, a 1st gen Tigon can be born to you in any breeding, and you can heighten your chances with the use of items such as GMO Cow or Lion Meat - however, those items heighten the chance of any mutation to appear, and Hybrids are one of the rarest to occur. CRB could also be used to heighten your chances even further along with a very low fertility, but in the end there is no guarantee of a mutation being triggered in any litter, much less Tigon in particular. Hope this helps :)

1) The tigon boost will remain until you have successfully bred any lion in your pride. If you try to breed with a lioness and fail, the boost will not go away :)

2) To increase your chances of rolling any mutation will therefore increase your chances of getting a tigon; as VLFs, especially 1% lionesses, have increased chances of rolling mutations they're generally used in tigon breeding to bring up the odds of getting a tigon a bit. This doesn't effect the tigon boost itself, only the odds of rolling a tigon separately; I believe the odds of getting a mutie (or tigon) are stacked when breeding a VLF with the boost active.

3) This uses the same logic as #2; the GMO cow will greatly increase the odds of rolling a mutie and therefore a tigon. You would feed the cow to the lioness and breed with her afterwards. As the GMO cow does not show up in the food dropdown on a lion's page you would need to go into your hoard to give it to her. Mutation items are fed to the lioness prior to breeding with her, the exception being CRB, which is given during the pregnancy to lose a litter. **Don't use a CRB if you have used other breeding items on a lioness that may cause a mutation, or have bred her with the tigon boost!

Hope this helps, and good luck breeding! Also, if you need a black stallion to assist with VLFs let me know :D

It might be counter-productive to use a GMO with tigon breeding however, because a tigon, if it rolls, might overwrite an existing mutie, thus erasing it - the chances of a tigon being born wont be greater if you use a GMO cow, but there will be a chance tigon would erase a mutie got from GMO cow.
You never know, some people gotten leopons breeding for tigons - it'd be a shame to loose a leopon if tigon rolls in and overwrites it! xD Especially since GMO cow doesnt at all consider tigon boost, they're separate rolls that dont affect eachother. Would be better not to use GMO cow and tigon boost together!

Ahh thank you a lot too Entity, that cleared up the last of my worries!

Also are you offering me a black stallion?? They're so expensive oh goodness--- my lioness is 40% fertility though, so I don't know if it's really that needed to spend such money on me... Though I should probably find a 1% lioness to use these boosts on.

Thank you a lot you're all so nice ;w;

Just went and price checked... they have gone WAY up recently, wow xD They always used to hover around 1gb. But yeah, you can have it if you like :D I have one spare so don't worry about it. (Also knowing my relationship with the RNG I'm not going to find the tigon boost anytime soon sooo xD)

Should I still find a 1% vlf lioness or would a 40% vlf suffice..? Do they receive boosts?
