I had no idea where to put this, so if this isn't the right place, could a mod please move it? Ahem. So, back in January, we got Hyena Meat, which reduced the fertility of a lioness to 1%. We occasionally can get Lion Meat or GMO Cows, which can cause mutations. But we always get assorted meats from hunting and exploring, too. Meat which 'expires.' It expires after 10 days(or 2 if it's small chunks), and is often used for moneymaking. But after it rots, it disappears. But what if it didn't? I'm suggesting an item called Rotten Meat Scraps, Rotten Carcass, or perhaps Aged Leftovers. After an item usable for Rawhide rots, it becomes this item-- but it will disappear if buried to rot, having 'decomposed' in your hoard. This could be a Roulette of sorts. Feeding this one-use item to a lioness could do any number of things. Increase or decrease fertility, change personality, increase or decrease stats, reduce breeding cooldown, give or take away experience, add a marking(hyper common varieties, like NCLs get), increase mutation chance, or possibly terminate a litter if the lioness is pregnant! But most of the time, it will do nothing more than alter the mood or hunger bars, or do nothing at all. It could be about a 2% chance of a rotting carcass becoming this item upon decay, possibly an extra 0.2% per use the item has? Or less? And the chance it'll do nothing would be about 70%, then 25% for the mood and hunger modifier, but a mere 5% for everything else combined. So it would be a hard item to get, and even harder to get a beneficial effect from it. It's just a random idea I came up with while selling carcasses earlier. Totally fine if you don't support, and it's probably better if you don't explain why. But I hope you guys consider this at least a little bit! Thank you! |

I support, but maybe not the fertility change, breeding cooldown, or marking. To me, they don’t make much sense. Also: you mentioned uses. Because the way rotting food works, there’s probably gonna only be one use out of it. On the flip side, what if it was 10% chance to become Rotten Scraps instead of 2%? Since there’s such a high chance it’ll do nothing ![]() |

The high chance it'll do nothing would make it better for the people who spend all their money on RMAs, and the low chance that it'll even show up at all is the whole premise. Usually, one will have consumed it, or it will have been stolen, or something else along that line. After all, wouldn't you want to move a carcass away from the dens if it stunk to the high heavens? It makes sense that something'd get to it before it can rot. Lions... uh... aren't that protective of food. ![]() |
