Three different winners. That's interesting, but that'd imply dividing the prize. How though? Would it be equal parts, or would it be sort of 3/6 for a 1st place winner, 2/6 for a 2nd place winner, and the remaining 1/6 for a third place winner?

I had forgotten it's three players winning the raffle. But really, if you don't split the actual prize then you're potentially "creating" a lot of currency out of nothing, and that'd be harmful to the game for sure. If it were ten winners, I think you either divide the pot in ten equal parts, or then you'd have to divide it so the 1st place wins the most, then the 2nd one a bit less, ect. until you reach the 10th place - I'm still trying to work it out, but maths aren't my strong suit :/

XD true but if 10 winners are each winning 1000, from an 800 ticket pot, its not too much currency being thrown in the game

Though if they did it from the ticket prices, then they’d definitely have to split it evenly, otherwise that 8000sb going to 3 people

Well, true, but the actual number of participants vary from day to day, and I know for a fact there's people that don't buy the daily ticket because they don't think it's worth it. If the pot is bigger, then even more people are going to participate than what we have currently.

I guess the key here is if you want more possible winners or want a bigger pot for the three winners - for example, 800 participants mean a 8000 SB pot, which, again, means 10 winners with equal prizes would get 800 SB each. If it were with three equal winners that'd be 2666 SB instead, and if you don't split it evenly but have someone take 3/6, another 2/6 and another the remaining 1/6 of the total it'd mean having a 1st place of 4000 SB, a 2nd place of 2666 SB and a third place of 1333 SB.

I think instead of 10 or 3, there could be 5 winners instead. Slightly more winners, but there'd still be currency to to around without the sticky math of dividing by 3.

Right now, there's 420 (heh) people in the pool. That'd be 840 per person if it ran right now. Not as much as the 1000, but there's still 15 hours left so that number will most likely double anyways.

Not only would a pot-based SB raffle possibly raise how much money people make, it would also raise community interest in it, so maybe more people would join.
