Ever ran out of territory for all those pretty (and ugly!) lions and don't have enough money to buy more territory? Can't transfer them to your side, either, due to lack of space? Well I sure as hell have! This feature would be somewhat similar to the jellyfish feature, though not exactly. Basically, lions would be in stasis for awhile until you take them out of storage. You wouldn't have to feed them, but you would have to play with them, as we're assuming the reserve feeds the lions (however, you still have to entertain them). They would also continue to age while they are in the reserve, and if they die in the reserve, you would still be able to store their records in the Pride Dynasty. Also, if lions are aging up and you don't have enough room for them, they'll go to the reserve. In short, it's just like a little place to keep your lions until you're able to get rid of some in your pride, or until some of your other lions die. Just an idea. I'd love to hear your ideas/additions/adjustments/suggestions! If you don't support, I'd like to know why so that I can adjust the idea or further explain. Thanks guys! |

There should be a time limit. Like, you have X days to clear space for it. If you succeed, it'll automatically be placed back in the cave it was previously in. If you don't, it runs. And the days shouldn't be more than 3 or 4; running already has a 7-day limit. ![]() |

I understand your thinking, but I was thinking it would be more of a permanent thing until you feel like putting a lion in or taking one out. The idea behind this is so that you don't have to get rid of lions. I know this sounds a bit overpowered, so, do you have any other suggestions? ![]() |

Isn't that why we're allowed to have the second account in the first place? ![]() |

Sorry, but no support :( I think this would really reduce the need for people to spend GB on extra territory spaces, which is deliberately a premium feature. Even if it's in some kind of holding area like this rather than your main pride, lots of lions still takes up server space. Which is why currently it makes sense for territory to cost rising amounts of GB beyond a certain point - effectively people using the most resources are paying their way and contributing to keeping the game running. GB spending on territory spaces if you want to have a large pride is kind of a necessary evil imo ![]() |

@Growrr Yes, but for all the lion hoarders (like myself lol) who have no room on either need SOMEWHERE to store them, don't we? :P ![]() |

If I understand correctly, this would essentially be giving players infinite storage for free with the bonus of not having to feed them, this sounds like it would essentially defeat the purpose of territory spaces in the first place. Territory spaces are a GB sink, which I do understand can help keep the value of GB up by reducing how much is in circulation. As it currently is, it is fairly easily obtainable, but expensive enough to not be of low worth. This makes it a more high-value currency, handy for buying items that are generally more rare or of higher value, adding to the challenge and contributing to a pretty good economy where not everything is necessarily easily obtainable, which in my opinion, does make things more fun and rewarding. To my understanding, if there weren't sufficient sinks, it could lose most of its value. If we had storage as you describe, I'd imagine that fewer people would buy additional spaces, unless there's a disadvantage of some kind. There being no need to feed them may also devalue food a little, though probably not much more than Monkey Businesses' prices. I also don't know how much strain lions have on the server, and how much people keeping large amounts per account has. Alternately, I suppose it could be a GB feature akin to FAPA or auto-nesting, with them automatically being taken out (or running away) once it runs out if you do not do it yourself or you do not renew it before then. I do think that in this case, it probably should be expensive to deter what I mentioned above. This should maybe be tied to the reclaim feature so that the lions cannot be interacted with until taken out. I'm not sure if being able to interact with them is a good idea even if it was expensive to do so, as it would still be giving wealthier players infinite regular space and it could work out cheaper than buying a ton of individual spaces. However, as for your original suggestion, I don't support it for the reasons mentioned above, and even my own suggestion I'm not exactly sure about. ![]() Edited on 28/05/22 @ 17:55:02 by TheClassCalico (#88888) |
