Hello! So I went inactive for a couple months when school started and I see quite a few things have changed on here. Out of everything that's new, I do have a couple questions about the check for mutation option. First, what kind of mutations does it check for? My guess is that it checks for mutations that aren't visible from birth, but I wondered since they added the option it might be more than just that? Also, in your opinion, is it worth checking? I believe most of the mutations I'm wanting are visible from birth, so if my guess is right I wouldn't consider doing it for all my cubs. But I am curious about what others think. I'm super stingy with my SB as well, so any advise on this subject would be super helpful. Thanks! 0 players like this post! Like? |

@NotNessa The cub will still have the mutation when it grows, you just wouldnt know it's a mutie until then! 1 player likes this post! Like? |

Hi! You are correct, the Falcon's Eye checks for mutations that do not show at birth. If your cub has a hidden mutation then it will change its mutation status to AMP - Adult Mutation Present. I personally check all my cubs, but I am not lacking the SB to do so and all my lioness tend to have low fertility. Many people don't check at all - so it's up to you! 0 players like this post! In my admittedly somewhat limited experience, it does only check for hidden mutations. it's usually not even an option for already-visible mutations, as it says what the mutation is there instead of linking you to check it. One exception is pies/patches, they will still show up to be checked, but if you try to do so it says 'this cub already has a visible mutation' or some such, so you can't really check them. So for things like primals, bobbed tails, achromia, polycaudals, etc. they don't need to be, and can't be, checked. Adult mutations are all I've ever gotten from checking. That's all it says too; 'adult mutation present'. You have to wait till the cub grows up to see what the exact mutation is. Presumably double uterus would also be detected this way. I'm not very stingy with SB and I don't bother to check unless the mom has been CRB'd or GMO'd or some such. And the only reason I do so is because adult mutations sell for quite a lot more than plain cubs. But in all my CRBing/mutation checking, I've no doubt I've lost a whole lot of SB even after selling adult mutation cubs. And frankly visible mutations sell faster and for more anyway. So, I don't know... if you don't care about hiddens it's probably not worth it as a routine thing. It is kind of fun though. :P That's my experience with it at any rate! 0 players like this post! I’m new here and I’ve always been wondering, if you don’t check a cub for mutations, will it not have the mutations as an adult? 0 players like this post! Like? |

I suggest only checking the cubs you're about to abandon/giveaway/nature reserve, etc because you don't want to accidentally get rid of a mutie! 1 player likes this post! Like? |

GoblinQueen, no, it wont - adult mutations are only added to the mutation counter when they grow old enough to show their mutation, so mostly at 2 years old. They wont show up on the counter until then, checked or unchecked with the eagle. 1 player likes this post! Like? |

I have a related question to this then? If you have a cub that has an adult mutation will it add it to your number of cubs with mutations on your den page? That would definitely make it seem more worth it to check which one it is, especially if you have 6 cubs or more born on same day. That would def get expensive without a good reason to check (like using items). Who wants to lose an adult mutation like double uterus by chasing off but can you keep every cub to adulthood just to see? I can’t on one of my accounts since it’s a newer account. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Can you tell what kind of adult mutation it is by importing the lion into the wardrobe and selecting adult? 0 players like this post! Like? |
