TOGGLE LIVE CHAT (or have it auto-refresh on a timer).
Toggle live chat is straight-forward, to auto-refresh on a timer I recommend 3-7 seconds. Sort of like both chats combined. Also to have a refresh button, still.

I disagree because: Even with non-live chat, I still was struggled to be heard often in certain hours of the day because it was going too quickly. People talk a lot.

Player in chats say:
"Like when it gets busy, and you can't do anything to catch up, so if you're talking to someone then it's a little pointless"
"It is lagging my phone/device"
"I cannot connect to the chat"
"I cannot read it"


Why you should support the idea of having it toggled:
1) People who do prefer this will have the option to have it, still.
2) People with dyslexia, or other disabilities which affect reading will still be able to read chat, and when they are ready, re-fresh

Why you shouldn't not-support the idea of having it toggled:
1) If you really like this new chat, you would be able to still have it.
2) The only reason I would be able to see people not-supporting is if they don't understand, or they are evil (OwO).
The point of having it toggle-able is so that people who are slower-readers can still read chat. Here, let's give you an example.

I can read chat. I am a quick reader. Call me "A"
"B" can not read chat because they are not the best or quickest reader.

A can read both slow chat and live chat.
B can not read live chat, only slow.

So, there is only a loss to be found by this new update, not a gain. As can read both types of chat, B cannot and struggle.

Just because you can does not mean others' can.

Wow! Nice that you noticed that. Well, here is the thing. Some of us don't want to have to exclude ourselves just because of an update. :)

As someone who isn't a native English speaker, it's killing me just trying to read messages before they disappear. People are saying it'll slow down, but lioden does have its busy hours.... So it'll be quick more than just right now.
Having to scroll down just to catch up isn't fun and it prevents me from communicating with people on here. The refresh button was wonderful to have, as I could read at my own pace.

I would have approved of the live chat if it actually stopped pushing messages down and refreshing so I could catch up. It still disappears after so and so many messages, which means that I can't keep scrolling down forever."

People keep talking about how "people just don't like change" in chat as a response to others saying that chat literally won't load or the quickly changing colors and messages are disorienting and... Personally, I have noticed another thing:
I might want to scroll down on a post, such as this one, and miss out on a huge chunk of chat. I get that, it's going to happen even with the old chat, but I like to start from the bottom to the top, however, doing that now, since it is live and only has so much space, those bottom messages go away, and as I try and read up all of the messages just sink into a void and I don't want to skip ahead...
