THE PRIDE

This pride was founded by a male named Hofui.
Hofui was a simple lion, he had no mutation, wasn't the strongest and he had nothing that made him really stand out. Except his heart, he was kind and gentle, his mother always said he had a heart of gold.
Hofui was born in a litter, it was just him and his brother Zimbabwe. The brothers were more like best friends then anything.
Zimbabwe was strong, stubborn and brave, which got him into trouble but his father loved for it. unlike his brother Zimbabwe, Hofui was meeker, kind, caring and this made his father disapprove of him. Although Hofui was not his fathers favorite, he was still his mothers.
She adored Hofui for his senses of love, the way he only saw the goodness of the world. Zimbabwe would have been his fathers heir if it wasn't for his mother. their father was a loving lion and a good king but he soon began partaking of the mandarin fruit. the fruit as it dose with all its victims make him angry all the time, he began to disrespected lioness and became abusive.
eventually he went as far as to kill Zimbabwe and Hofui's mother over a fail hunt. Both loved there mother and couldn't stand to see their father in the condition he was in.
They had enough of their father and made a plan to end his life. The mandarin fruit made their father really clumsy, so it was easy for the two, to end his life.

The waited for a night when their father was alone, Hofui tripped the old lion and Zimbabwe attacked. The odd's of Zimbabwe winning this battle was very slim but he was willing to take those odd's. Their father had eaten some fruit before the battle and was very clumsy, making it easier for Zimbabwe to win. he killed his father but in the end he did get a few scars here and there.
The two chose to leave the pride, of course the only place they knew to go to was The Giving Tree. Their mother had told them stories, that all cub's come from The Giving Tree ( soon they would find out where cub's really come form).
They headed off the biggest tree in Africa..... The Giving Tree. it looked very different from the story's, only the best cub's were chosen while the other's grew up or died. Zimbabwe and Hofui stayed their for a while but little did they know how terrible it was there. Zimbabwe was chosen first by a King, hofui was left behind at The Giving Tree alone, he was beaten by older males like most of other's there. Some of the younger Kings would also hurt, beat and steal food form him, there were terrible injustices happening right in front of his eyes.
Just after a few week's of being in his new pride Zimbabwe was given back, when Zimbabwe first saw his brother, he could hardly tell who he was. Hofui was skin and bones, he looked very sick and beaten.
Zimbabwe went in and out of home's never really finding a place to call home, hofui on the other hand never was chosen and stayed there. But one day both brother's found a home, even being in different pride's they were both happy.
Hofui went into a good home, the King was just and fair.
