While I love keeping beetles, it's not a particularly commonly used feature of the game. It seems to have been added then largely not touched except for the odd new species. I'd really like it if beetle keeping became more common, so I compiled some common suggestions into a suggestion. 1. A notification during rollover summary that larvae have dropped to 60% hunger. A common frustration I've heard is one of hard work being lost due to a slip of the mind. 2. There really should be a decor craftable per color per species by now. Not necessarily a Crafted Beetle like Augosoma centaurus, but SOMETHING should be craftable if you have enough of one class of beetle corpse. More crafting using beetle corpses in general is badly needed, especially for older and more common species. 3. As with the lions, beetle larvae and adults should take up seperate slots, even if it's just one larva per adult slot. That way, if all your adult slots are full you could still hatch the eggs. The larvae would be safe for 10 days then, during which an adult may die or you may gain more adult slots. 3. While remaining rare, the drop rate for additional beetle slots from battle should be raised a bit. And/or it shouldn't stop at 16. Around 30 would be a more breeder-friendly limit. 4. Beetle corpses should be able to be sold to Monkey Business for 15-22 sb, increased value related to the labor of raising and keeping them for a month. 5. Other prizes from battling- there could be a rare chance to win a sex changer or an aging pebble from battling. 6. The Beetle Species Changer- This would be an extremely rare prize only obtainable from battling, where you can exchange an unwanted beetle for one of similar rarity. This would be a way to get another of a beetle you are having trouble finding a mate for 7. The occasional beetle unrelated prize to win to add greater outside incentive to keeping them, such as nesting material or the odd higher SB payout. If you have suggestions of your own or other input please do share. Another topic with very good ideas- https://www.lioden.com/topic.php?id=304429368070 |

All of my yes! Especially the beetle species changer. I decided to sacrifice variety for stats since there's no real way to pursue both. Being able to change the species of my top battlers every now and then would provide some variety and alleviate boredom. In fact I made a related suggestion a while ago, but it never gained traction. Feel free to steal if it interests you! Overall, though, I'd love to see a bit more attention given to our beetle buddies. Getting new ones is cool and all, but the existing mechanics make it hard to try them all out! ![]() |

I'm definitely in favor of this. I feel like for all you put into raising the beetles you don't get a very worthwhile return of investment. A trickle of SB, XP, and herbs is not worth up to 10 silver beetles a day per beetle if you want to get the most out of them. Exploring still returns far more substantial incentives with less effort than the beetles. I'd also like a way to disable the battle animations so I can just go through my list of beetles for battling quickly and move on, rather than sit through the millionth iteration of one of maybe 5 animations... ![]() |

I'd like a rare prize not related to battle beetles though, whether that be a larger prize of SB, nesting material(s), bone marrow(s), just something to help keeping beetles actually rewarding. ![]() |

I like all of these except the species changer item. I think that would defeat the purpose of the pokemon-like random encounter seek and capture. Other than that, all good ideas! ![]() |
