Traditionally, blocking a user means they virtually do not exist anymore. You don't see their posts, content, etc. On Lioden, there will be people who you just simply don't want to interact with or see. You may want to block someone because you had a fight, or because you want to protect your privacy from a certain person.

While profile pages disappear when you block someone, they will be still able to view and openly interact with YOUR posts and vise versa. Why is the current block system one sided? I will run through some arguments against this.

"There is already rules against harassment." Correct! But not everyone blocks because they are being directly attacked. For example someone could have not paid you in the past for an adopt/commission and you don't trust them. They can easily try to bid again in your thread, despite you not trusting them. This will lead to a very messy auction.

"this is a public forum everyone can pos-" Of course everyone has the right to post whatever they please. All I am asking for is an update where someone you blocked can still see your thread, but is prevented from posting on it. In this case, they can still SEE your threads in case anyone decides to start drama about them so they can report it, or not be able to post if you are trying to mind your own business and not have anything to do with the person you blocked. If anyone does not support this suggestion, feel free to explain why, I guess.

TL;DR please make the blocking system not one sided, and actually work for threads and not just messages!
