Warning: Image Heavy, probably not mobile friendly Alright, so one of the things that really bothers me is how similar some of the common bases are. These are usually bases that are one color throughout, and another base in the same color group is only a few shades different (If that), making the 2nd base basically a duplicate. I think that these bases should be combined into just one, or alternatively one could be 'reskined' so the difference between them is more apparent. This would make room for more unique common bases, since some of them (Like Doubloon, Sterling, Pewter, Ginger, Auburn) are really cute! Anyway, into examples. I've set the images side by side in photoshop for ease of comparison.  Linen VS Bisque  Zarbanu VS Zarafshan  Zarafshan VS Dark Golden  Birch VS Isabel  Dark Brown VS Liver I am trying to make a comprehensive list of duplicate bases, so if you think that there are two (Or three) that are very similar that aren't on this list, feel free to shout them out. I can whip up a similar comparison like the ones I did above. If you don't support, please let me know why! |

I'm all for combining them. Well we once got one base completely removed so it won't be that big of a deal, they are not desired bases and are almost identical. Here are some more pairs I found: Zarin&Zivar Isabel&Birch Sundust&Luteo Cedar&Buttercream 0 players like this post! Like? |

Well, some of these are different enough to make a major difference in appearance. For example, linen and bisque. Linen has almost a lime tint on the top, while bisque is all cream. Zarbanu, Zarafshan, and Dark Golden - Yeah, definitely. There are differences with the amount of red, but I never noticed it until they were side by side. Birch has the same lime tint Linen has, which Isabel doesn't. And dark brown and liver- Yeah, they're identical  But support! 0 players like this post! Like? |

I'll be stalking this thread, for sure. I want to see what bases look super similar because right now I don't have the time to check myself. I'm also one that hates game clutter, and combining bases is perfect for me. Also, if this is accepted for a future update, we could do polls on the Friday updates about which of the two similar bases we prefer, i.e. "do we like liver or dark brown more?" 0 players like this post! Here are a few more, lmost identical, with a very slight tone difference:    I think combining these bases would be a good step into a bigger base overhaul. Cream genetics are very unpopular because there are tons of boring old bases barely different from one another and a very few good desirable ones. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Oh yeah those ones are also pretty similar. I agree that I think the biggest problem people have against creams are how similar they are, which makes cubs born with common bases look similar to each other. Do you mind if I add those bases to the main post? I 0 players like this post! Like? |

Wow, never noticed that these are nearly identical. Yeah, they need to be combined together for brevity, and new colors that actually contribute could be put in the places of the removed ones perhaps? Even without replacing the bases right away, it'd be a good idea to combine these superfluous bases. 0 players like this post! Like? |
