Warning: Image Heavy, probably not mobile friendly

Alright, so one of the things that really bothers me is how similar some of the common bases are. These are usually bases that are one color throughout, and another base in the same color group is only a few shades different (If that), making the 2nd base basically a duplicate. I think that these bases should be combined into just one, or alternatively one could be 'reskined' so the difference between them is more apparent.

This would make room for more unique common bases, since some of them (Like Doubloon, Sterling, Pewter, Ginger, Auburn) are really cute!

Anyway, into examples. I've set the images side by side in photoshop for ease of comparison.

I am trying to make a comprehensive list of duplicate bases, so if you think that there are two (Or three) that are very similar that aren't on this list, feel free to shout them out. I can whip up a similar comparison like the ones I did above.

If you don't support, please let me know why!

Oh yeah- there's tons of bases, why are some of them basically the same? Either remove the extras or combine the two.

I never noticed this because they do seem to be really unpopular bases but this is really upsetting to see... even more upsetting if the bases have the exact same genetics because then it's just adding an extra fail base for no reason . Although, if the basically identical bases are in different genetic groups it's just further evidence that we need a genetics rehaul .

I'd like to see these combined, even though they're not bases that individually affect me in any way. There's no real reason to have bases that you have to completely squint at to see the minute differences, especially if they are fail or NCL bases.

Albino and Clear White are another pair of bases that look almost identical at first glance.

Total and complete support! I've been working on a list of near-identical bases myself, but this is so much better LOL

Support! With the rate at which new bases are being implemented each month, simplifying the existing pool of bases is always nice, especially when the combination wouldn’t hurt gameplay very much.

My one concern is that it might be complicated for the developers to update the base files. Good thing none of the bases mentioned are marking colors though. I actually wouldn’t mind if the game pauses the introduction of new bases for 1 month to make time and reorganize what we already have.
