1. Events

Lioden has a consistent system of monthly events that refresh on the 1st of each month. Using events to your advantage is perhaps the most efficient way to earn some extra cash. Below will be highlighted events where you should focus in taking some extra time exploring and doing side quests for the storyline characters in order to maximize your currency earnings.

Event Currency

Each month has a unique type of currency dedicated towards the themed event. Whether it's Easter Eggs, Blood Beetles, Heart Shells, or Jewel Beetles, these currencies can be very valuable.
Generally, the conversion between event currency and regular Gold Beetle currency to 10 : 1 (10 event currency for 1). This ratio is commonly used by players within the forums, and will advertise that they are buying at these rates unless a specific item is in high demand.
To 'sell' your event currency, you will simply come to an agreement with a player and purchase event shop items with your currency, and put said items in a trade that the other player will buy out for an agreed price. I would like to reiterate that event currency is not transferable, and you are making money buy purchasing the items directly.
Some months are more profitable than others. Breeding items and applicators are considered the most sought after items during events as opposed to decorations; with that being said, February, April, May, September, October, and December are the best months to make some money in. Why? Well, you'll learn very quickly that items such as Buffalo Scrotums, Lion Scrotums, Yohimbe Barks, Egg Yolks, and GMO Cows are extremely valuable to LD breeders alike. Players are more inclined to purchase and/or auction off event currency when these items are up for grabs in the event shops, thus, your activity in explore should definitely be a priority during these months.
To get more information on every event that Lioden hosts along with their specific currencies, please refer to the event overview.

Event Items

The question you now may be asking is: how do I know what these items are worth? When is the best time to sell items if I'm not selling my currency, but would rather hoard items in bulk? Well, let me tell you that it depends on the item, and the month it is sold in. If you're choosing to conjure up your own event currency and purchase your items to store in your hoard, it is best to sell those items for profit later on in the year. Event items such as GMO Cows, for example, will be at their peak value around the months of June and July. These items are available in September, so it's best to wait until there's some scarcity, but not until the month of or the month before since players will know they will be re-released soon enough. There are some items, however, that will generally sell well year-round. One of these items being Yohimbe Barks. For specifications on items, it is best to ask a player or reference branches and trades as to how much to price your items at, and when they should be put up for sale. By exploring and earning your currency and putting that currency to good use via event shop items, you can make a lot of beetles by selling them later on in the year. You should always keep this in mind: supply and demand. The higher the demand, the more valuable the item will be. You can always check the specific amount of a particular item in game by consulting the item catalogue.

2. Breeding

As you've probably noticed, Lioden's breeding genetics are extremely intricate and detailed. Marking inheritance, mutation occurrences, stat training, combo bases, the works; any type of breeder can make profit off of their efforts, and this section will teach you how based on your preference of game style. Whether you're interested in stat breeding, clean breeding, mutation breeding, selling your lioness's heats, or combo base breeding, there are many ways to produce valuable lions that will make you money.

Studs

Every player has their own main lion, or King, in their pride. A cool part of this game is that you can use your main lion as a means of making money by studding him out to other players. If you go to your main page, you will see midway down his page that you can set a minimum or maximum price that you'll stud your King out for lionesses from other prides. On Lioden, there is almost always a new fad or trend going on that players tend to pick up on and make popular. Examples of this include the July bases, such as Celestial, Sunset, and Sunrise. Generally hard to breed bases are valuable on a stud, and other players will also want to own that special base, inclining them to use said stud. Some studs can be mutated, and have the ability to pass on this mutation to their cubs. Mutations of this caliber include: Primal, Primal: Felis, Primal: Smilus, Primal: Ferus, and any variation of Piebald and Patches. Players will be able to customize their King with event applicators, the Oasis applicators, use Mutie on Demands to make their King a pretty mutation, and so on. In most cases, investing into these features are a good investment, since your stud requests will more than likely sell out if priced accurately to the market. Studs are a great way to earn money if you put the time and effort into customizing and personalizing them, along with following the latest trends; if you're not interested in following LD trends or letting other lionesses breed to your main lion, there are other methods of earning money via breeding below.
