Perhaps when you want to kill a cub, the mother (if she's still in the pride) defends her cub? So in trying to kill a cub, you have to fight the lioness first.

Please don't be rude if someone has posted something like this before!

! Maybe it depends on the gals personality if she'll fight back! Like with a good/protective personality, she will!

But netural/evil/snarky personalities wont :>

I like that idea, Commie, but I have a little idea!
What if the neutral lioness would have a 50% chance to protect the cub. It would initiate an NPC fight with a lioness, if you win, the cub leaves, but if you lose, either both or neither leave.

What about just chasing/abandoning/reserving a cub though? If there isn't an effect on those then it puts evil kings at a disadvantage because they have a chance of losing their lionesses AND cubs.

No support, I kill cubs all the time. The energy loss in enough, I dont want to go through an NPC battle just to use a basic function. And besides, after you kill them you have to mood boost the mom because she is sad. Those 2 things are bad enough, we dont need to do this

No support - this simply wouldn't work with the mass kill feature that's already implemented.

Also a thought-- would this only work on unweaned cubs? What qualifys for an NPC battle? And what if she was evil, wouldnt she not care?

I think if she was a good personality maybe- though it seems not a lot of people like my idea! I think it would be an interesting and realistic addition, since lionesses defend their cubs very readily.

Why not have a flavour text you pay 1 GB to unlock like cub stages. It wouldn't be necessary, but I know some people would like it. I may even make some mock ups for chasing, and sending to the nature reserve as well.

Good/Kind
"With the gruesome reasoning in your head, you approach the cub, resting on the outskirts of your den. You start to attack with brutal force, but [Good/Kind] running towards you and attack you as you kill the cub on the spot. You feel it's breath wither away under your teeth. You monster. [good/kind] sat next to you, mourning the cub. She moves away from you, avoiding you for two days." Scar: cheek and Scar: face have been added to your hoard. [lioness] experienced a -15 mood drop. [Lioness]'s [days till heat/breeding cooldown] increased by two days.

This is followed up after two days when you click the lion's page.
"[Good/Kind] comes up to you with teary eyes. They understand why you had to kill the cub. You feel bad now, and you apologise to them softly, and watch as their expression goes from dread to forgiveness. Now they are rubbing up against you. How cute."

Evil/Snarky
"With gruesome reasoning in your head, you approach the cub, resting on the outskirts of your den. You start to attack with brutal force, frowning as you hear the cub call out for it's mother. You feel yourself get thrown back and your in a brutal tussle with [evil/snarky] . She is leaving some brutal hits on you, but you throw her off, proceeding to kill the cub on the spot, feeling it's breath wither away from under your teeth. You monster. [Evil/Snarky] is glaring at you, refusing to let you near her, even giving you some nasty scars. Maybe she'll get over it?" Scar: cheek, Scar:face and Scar: neck have been added to your hoard. You experience +10 hunger. Scar: shoulder, Scar: back and Scar: cheek has been added to [lioness].[Lioness] experienced a -10 mood drop.

Same with the Good/Kind, the flavour text is like this
"[Evil/Snarky] is still glaring at you, refusing to talk still. You willingly walk into one of their traps, acting over dramatic. Finally, they come over, demanding you apologise. you do. Their demands keep getting more and more outrageous. Now you think they are getting some form of sick amusement from this"

Neutral
"With gruesome reasoning in your head, you approach the cub, resting on the outskirts of your den. You attack the cub with brutal force, about to kill the cub when [neutral] jumps on to your back. Roaring out in pain you flip [neutral] off, killing the cub and feeling it's breath wither away from under your teeth. You Monster. [neutral] is visibly upset and she keeps avoiding you." Scar:Back has been added to your hoard. You experience +5 hunger. Scar: cheek has been added to [Lioness]. [Lioness] experienced a -5 mood drop. [Lioness]'s [day's till heat/breeding cooldown] has increased by one day.

2 days later followed by
"[Neutral] has kept themselves away from you. You feel really bad. They come over and sigh, not looking at you. They seem to act kind to you but also try to attack you every five seconds. You apologise, and they seem happy with that answer"

Should also mention this would be a random drop chance for the scars, but I honestly think the cool down that I've implemented makes sense for me.

This wouldn't really work for mass killing unless A flavor text was to come up as
"[# x] Lionesses have showed up to stop the mass murder of their pride members. They fight as hard as they can to prevent you killing these lions, but it appears in the process they accidentally aided in your quest. They beg you to cover their tracks, and you agree. what an interesting turn of events"
