I can't support this part of the thing in claiming is that risk that risk of "should I chance this last move to claim or will I get slap" that moment where you hold your breath as you rub her head. There is a choice to take that chance and get slapped or buy her affections for an auto claim. This would take that chance away so I just don't believe claiming after being slapped should ever be a thing sobe the player made that last chance decision.

I think this is a good idea. While some people might enjoy the risk, it's already an expensive option to autoclaim - it isn't something you do lightly. Add in the fact that the lioness is permanantly removed if you fail, this is the only chance she has of being reclaimed and enjoyed. If failing to woo a chased lioness only resulted in her returning to the pool, I'd be far less concerned by it, but this is not the case.

Considering also how random some responses are in claim, even when using moves fitted to the personality type, there's a very strong element of gambling and hoping she likes you/rng favors you, and to not be able to use an item after a fail makes no sense. Support.
