Seeing the birthdate of lions would help a lot.

HOWEVER, it would also take a fuckton of coding to achieve.

Conditional support, but it depends how long LD keeps the records as to whether they could make this retroactive.

Good idea. Just take into account that lions age by rollovers, not IRL days, so the birthdate may be inconsistent with the shown age.

some way of doing this really would be nice. as it is, i manually keep the dates for my heirs etc. would be nice to have that for everyone!! i think it’s worth considering, with what coding needs to be done and what other aspects of the site need the team on that.

Yeah, that would be cool. A few lions I just noted their birthdates in description, but going into the future, this would be a cool feature to have if possible.

I could see the birthdate located right of the age or in the "lifetime" section. For example:

Age | 0 Months Old (10.27.2021)

Lifetime
Birthday | Oct. 27, 2021 Total Hunts | 0 Successful Hunts | 0 Success Rate | 0%

This would be super cute ! I would love that, especially since Im gone for long periods here and there so it'd be cool to see when my lions were actually born whenever I come back .

Age has nothing to do with birthdate. I’ve been playing this game for almost a decade and inconsistently login, some of my lionesses are absolutely 3+ IRL years old. And adding “overrated value” to lions is part of what makes this game fun. Stats barely matter, “Cleanness” doesn’t matter, Marking slots don’t matter, in the actual mechanics of gameplay, but those things all add value and competitiveness to breeding. Things such as that are what keeps this game fun and competitive

Market demand is entirely player created, and without new additions, this game would have gotten stale so incredibly long ago. Clean breeding came to the forefront only a few years ago, and it added a new challenge for players in the market. Having old lineages that are also clean could add even more value— and even more challenge to breeding. Nothing wrong with that! If you don’t want to participate, you definitely don’t have to. Suggestions like this just add some new life to a game a lot of us have been playing for so long.

A good idea but you can already track their birthdate in your User Log by putting their ID # in the search bar if they were born in your den

but the one thing you idea has over that, is that even lions that you acquire/ buy will have the date on their page
