This suggestion is under construction, so my edits may not be entirely finished!

July 2021 Note: This is an older suggestion and I just now saw the comment on Anubis and Bast being too lovey-dovey, I completely agree with this but do believe they should have some sort of connection as canonically they are connected! So I have edited the encounter ideas so they interact, but not necessarily with the same kind of enthusiasm as I had originally thought about!

(2019) I have been talking with a couple of other players about the June event! The ways to gain currency, the story line, etc. A friend of mine actually put up a thread for the amount of KB that the apps from last year's event were being sold at. Personally, using both accounts, I was able to get 1 Bast app from my side.. After the whole month of exploring and fighting plus doing quests. I wasn't able to be as active as I normally would be because of real life events that took place this month. I was also only able to purchase the app after I finished the storyline and earn the 100 KB reward. I love the June event because of the storyline, concept, and the characters, but it kind of gets old after a while. While you have battle buddies to assist in fighting and killing the snakes, they are still difficult enemies. Bast only heals when you get hit, Anubis is helpful-ish since he does 20 damage, but he seldom actually attacks. Seth is pretty okay in battle, though plus three damage isn't a lot, it can be helpful. Unfortunately though a lot of people don't win these battles, despite help from their battle buddies. The snakes hit you for around 15-20 damage and you either miss or just give them what seems like light taps during your turn(compared to their damage anyway). It often really isn't worth fighting all of the snakes, even if it is for a quest.
2021 addition: It would be nice if the battle buddies did a little more, a couple ideas would be in the spoilers below.

I ain't bashing on the June event, but I and hopefully others still would like to see more ways to earn currency, more activity other than the storyline and art that goes into said storyline!

One of the suggestions here is to possibly make the snakes easier to beat? Or at least give better rewards? Maybe more Khepri beetles and snake scales. Heck open more opportunities with the snake scales! (2021 edit: The last part of this snippet was added so I also took that out)

Another suggestion is to perhaps add actual encounters in explore? Like how there are many encounters with event NPCs and such in other events, like July for example. Regardless of whoever you choose, you will end up seeing all three of July's characters out there, along with ways of gaining currency during some of these encounters! It can also add depth to the characters themselves, which i feel would be a nice way to enjoy them more!

Battle Buddy adjustment suggestion: Maybe up his frequency of attacks to a bare minimum of 2 per battle, or if the opponent is close to death then finishing it off? Suggestions are welcome :)

1. While exploring, searching for danger you spot Anubis meeting up with a glowing... Lioness? That must be Bast! Anubis seems awkward around the elegant cat, you wonder how everything works out, if it works out between them. . They don't seem to be aware of it yet, should you be a hero??

1.5 "Hell yeah!" You heroically leap into battle with the slithering minion, impressing both of the ancient gods.. though they assure you they could have handled it themselves. You share a nice moment with them and walk away with a smile. - +Karma(?) and KB + snake scales

"Nah fam they got this" You shrug and leave, whatever, lovebir- er.. cat and wolf? No.. Jackal. yeah Jackal.. they can handle it. You saunter off and soon hear a surprised yelp before the demise of the snake soon after, followed by a string of profuse language ending in an "IT BIT MY ASS!" from Anubis.
-Karma(?) plus KB

2. You find Anubis standing over something, his whole self drooped, you walk up behind him and are shocked to see the remains of a (insert animal), likely done in by the fangs of slithering minions. You look to the lord of death and he touches his paw to the poor creature, which soon dissipates into dust. Aww.(with negative Karma it could be a dickish comment like- "PFFT weak >:c"

3. Anubis sits, gazing up at the seemingly endless night hovering over the Savannah. You walk up to him and announce yourself before sitting down. There is silence before he speaks up with a sigh; "Tell me -name-, do you believe we will prevail, rejoin our loved ones one day?" The question surprises you.

3.5 Options-
"Nope." - Your cold response leaves the god of death deflated, "..I see.. Then why do we fight?" He asks, looking to you with curious, sad eyes. You shrug with a huff, Anubis gets up and leaves, seemingly offended, was it something you said? -Karma and currency + snake scales

"..Someday perhaps, my lord." - Anubis looks to you and a soft sigh leaves him. "It is tiring, I wish to spend more time with my wife, instead of either dead or battling that cursed serpent." if he wasn't the god of death, and you weren't afraid of dying by touching him, you would give him a hug.. Instead.. you grab a twig and poke him with it. He seems to understand the feeble gesture, and is slightly amused by your efforts to cheer him up. +Karma and currency

"Yes my lord.. With love!"- Your response has him intrigued, you two speak for a small while on the matter of what love is and how it connects to death before going your separate ways. +KB or Snek scales


I'm all out of steam from typing that up lol, but I hope the point came across? A smidge?? If you don't like the idea, please tell me why so I can fix this up! If anyone has any ideas to add to this, toss em at me!
