Okay so.

Just a few hours ago I bought an ebony smilus cub, I've always dreamed if having a smilus ever since I discovered them, so naturally I was REALLY excited to buy him and I was looking forward to doing cub training and training with him all together and putting work into him.
BUT.
Just a few minutes ago I rollover, expecting him to still be there and I go to my notifications for my daily rollover summary cause that's my routine. Very top of the page stated: Cub deaths..... and it was my smilus because I forgot to protect him within the few HOURS of having him.
So not only did this break my heart into a million pieces but it was a huge waste of GB and time and all that.

The sucky part is this has happened to multiple players before, and it really freaking sucks. So I was thinking..

Maybe after you buy a cub from trades or win one from a raffle, it gives you 24 hours until you have to put protection on it, until then it should be safe from any harm. Because honestly things like this are ridiculous and sad af. And if you're like me you can't get to everything right away, I know it's my fault, but still. I don't want things like this happening to anyone ever.
Maybe it could just have a little notification at the top of the cubs page that's red that states "This cub has 24 hours until protection must be put on" or "This cub has until [insert time here] until protection is necessary" or something cheesy like that.
But of course you should still be able to put protection on the cub anyways, and when you place protection on the cub then the notification at the top would go away.
It should be like an addition to the trade cool down. But for cubs:)

I don't know. Maybe it's a good idea.
And maybe nobody will care as much as I do.
I'm just sad and I feel cheated out of GB which I struggle with getting in the first place:(
