Hey guys! I've got a problem with my Wacom Bamboo Fun - every time I hold the cursor in place, it picks up the color underneat (in sai). I had the new drivers installed and I can't open tablet settings in the bamboo menu, it just shows an error and says to install the drivers. What can I do? It's very uncomfortable to draw like this

wacom is kinda known for constantly having weird issues :') i'm sure this has happened to me before too, it sounds familiar. usually what i do is run through this procedure, and it usually fixes it on its own:
- restart sai
- restart your computer
- see if you're able to open tablet settings now?

if that doesn't work, then:
- unplug your tablet
- uninstall EVERYTHING related to the tablet on your computer- if you have windows 10, go to settings > apps and features and click on everything that mentions wacom, tablet driver, etc.
- restart your computer
- go to wacom and reinstall the driver you need
- restart your computer (again)
- plug in your tablet and let it get situated for a few minutes
- pray to the tablet gods it worked

usually that pain in the ass usually works for me to fix whatever my tablet has decided to go batshit about. if it doesn't, i'd take a look at your stylus- i don't know much about bamboo funs, but if you can, check the buttons (?) to make sure nothing's sticking, pull out the tip (??) to make sure nothing in there is messing with your sensitivity, etc.

at that point, i don't know what else to tell you if you can't fix it :') usually customer support is pretty helpful, so you could try contacting them. there's also a good chance it's just your tablet getting old, too, iirc bamboo funs are like 10 years old at this point? i don't know, but good luck!

Haha yeah that's a shitty old thing :D thanks a lot for your post! I'll try to do all of that & see if anything gets better.
Also, would you recommend getting a new Wacom one or some other brand?

i've only ever had wacom, and aside from those driver issues, i love it- my pen & touch has served itself well for around four years now. wacom's definitely got its place as a frontrunner when it comes to the tablet industry, and a lot of people (including you obviously ahaha) can vouch for its durability. i've also heard huion is a solid brand to look into, and just from a glance at their website it looks like they have a ton more products for sale that are generally a lot cheaper than wacom tablets. overall, i'd just set aside some time dedicated to hunting down reviews and comparisons to figure out what would work best for you! if you use it often enough, a good tablet is definitely an investment that pays off

Ah yeah, mine starts doin shit like that all the time. Usually it'll lose pen pressure, not work with the stabilizer, etc. I love my wacom tablet, it's amazing, but god the driver has issues lmao

Yeah, just redownload the driver and make sure to completely close SAI. That should work- usually works for me!

(I have Wacom Intuos Pro! It's great but yeah the driver has to be redownloaded a few times :"D)
