This is just based on one thing at the moment (I haven't completed the quest line and I don't want to spoil the plot parts for myself, but I have skimmed through some of the later objectives to see what else needs to be done). I REALLY dislike the "visit _ dens" quests. For those not doing the quest or who haven't hit them yet, you need to visit a den + click a button on the page. Each den can only be visited once. For this event, there are 3 (I believe; at least 3) den visiting quests, one for 250, and 2 for 500. 1250 dens to visit, 2450 buttons to click. Quest info: https://www.lioden.com/topic.php?id=304429366760 I understand this quest is meant to be hard and long. I'm all for that! That being said, I don't think this kind of tedium makes for a good quest. It's the equivalent to video games making their bosses "harder" by just adding HP. The patterns are the same, and the boss loses its interest when you're doing the same thing forever. Visiting dens is not part of normal play. You do it to check out kings or to message people. I probably visit 250 dens in 2 months, if not longer. I can't imagine how long visiting 1250 dens would take. Having such tedious tasks just demotivates people from wanting to complete quests. Hard is fine, but clicking two buttons isn't hard. It just takes FOREVER. -- So here's some suggestions for how to change it - perhaps not for this quest since some people have gone through it already, but for future ones. > Instead of having to click a button in each den, visiting it is enough. The additional wait for each page to load is painful, and if you go too fast the button doesn't work. > Have the buttons on pride members and kings instead of dens. Instead of going to a den page, you'd get to page through people's pride and maybe find some pretty lions! More engaging and still plot accurate. The button could go next to the "mood boost" button for lions that share clans. > Have the button show up in explore on lion encounters. Battleable lions and NCL encounters could have a "warn" or whatever button. This would bring the quest into the game's world vs separating it from any kind of normal play. > Lower the count. Slow paced questing is fine. It took me weeks to kill 50 animals because I wasn't rushing. The explore steps take a while because I've been busy. But those are things I know I can get done. This is such a sidetracked quest, totally separate from the rest of the game. It doesn't use explore, it doesn't use our items, and it doesn't encourage engagement with the site. You may see some nice kings or CSS, but with such a crazy number and the tedium of finding that many unique users, you're going to be clicking through fast instead of looking. -- I love the concept of this quest, and was really enjoying it until now. This is such a silly way to increase quest time. My suggestions wouldn't be the only way to work on this, so I'd love to hear other opinions. If you disagree please say why - and dont just say "its supposed to be hard". I think I've made it clear enough why I don't think this qualifies as hard so much as tedious, and I agree that it should be hard. |

I dont really agree with the visit den gets over 1000 dens Because by that poimt you have already visit, 750 dens total. And cant revisit. So it gets really difficult. On average, the member count online is lower than 2000. And its typically players youve already found. Often players. I'm not sure if you can visit dens of players not online. That would make it easier. But with all that said... It only took me a day to visit 500 dens... So its not to awfully long. But yea.. The struggle of my first paragraph is seriously a pain. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Using the player search is faster then using the players online page and is doesn't matter if the player is online or not. 0 players like this post! Like? |

It's really not that difficult, it's not reliant on the RNG, and it doesn't cost items, energy or currency. I like that there are quests that you can't pay to win, it evens the field for newer players who just really want to put the work in vs. people with bloated hoards or lots of money to drop on gb. Changing the quest at this point would probably also annoy a good number of people who already put the work in to complete it. 0 players like this post! Like? |

"So here's some suggestions for how to change it - perhaps not for this quest since some people have gone through it already, but for future ones." ^ I agree on not changing it for this one. I also agree that the whole idea of letting people work for an item is better than just making it RNG based, 100%. It's just the difficulty I disagree with so much as the tedium. It may just be what I enjoy in gameplay, but I don't find having to do the same thing hundreds of times, when its something very very simple but also slow, enjoyable. I don't mind if the quest is hard, but the quests should be engaging in some way. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I like the idea of interacting with other players' pride members to spread the word. That would be a much more fun way to complete the den part of the quest. 0 players like this post! Like? |
