Absolutely not. Rng is not kind. And personally? Really hate 2 of the poll options. If I bred an agate I wanted and got obliterated by rng giving my cubs an agate I didnt want I would rage. On the same note. If I used my gems and/or money to get agate app and it fucked me by giving me an agate I didn’t want I would be really mad. A chunk of us already hate the rng on marking applicators, let’s not put it on base applicators too.

To each their own. I think it would stop limiting the bases to just one art style, without the cost of a million markings in place. To compromise, if you had the applicator, you could chose the variant you wanted. Then further breeding could produce any of the other two.

That’s still a problem. If I want a specific agate it’s bc I don’t like the others. Which means I don’t want my cubs to have the agates either. And don’t think you can just trade them bc there will be an imbalance. Based on the poll results, option 2 agate will be most popular, 3 close second. And almost no one will want the first option agates.

I don't like the third and first ones as they look nothing like the gem and they're not good. The 2nd represents it the best imo.

What if the most popular choice is the app, and the other art styles are possible combo bases with specific other bases (like Murk, Labradorite) ? That way it starts making older bases more relevant as the game progresses and doesn't devalue bases as much.

Cool. I don't like the first one personally, but I think that having all 3 would be cool in terms of no gem is alike. It would be nice to just continue to get more shades of the same gem.
