So big topic came up today: passrates Kimanjano and Mandarin hardly pass at all without crunchy worm. Dwarves are dying off to pons and gons because they don't pass at all without a lion scrotum, making them less valuable in the long run. Suggestion is simple: Raise the pass rate for kimanjano and mandarin to 3% at least. 5% bases don't pass hardly at all as is, but kimanjano and mandarin pass so infrequently people would rather not breed them than bother spending a crunchy worm on them when there's no way to get the pass beyond that without another worm. Dwarves could have an implemented pass rate in the same way. About 1-1.5%. Highly unlikely it will pass without items, but not impossible. This keeps an incentive to keep breeding them since people can actually get more dwarves potentially. Not guaranteed. But potentially. Please provide feedback on what you disagree with if you do not support this. I'd love to open the discussion on what a balance would be for both of these topics. A LOT of people were discussing mandarin and kimanjano today and their ridiculously impossible pass rates, and a LOT of people complain about dwarves falling out of popularity |

Just a thought: the passrate for second and on gen leopons and tigons is 5%, from memory. Hardly "Highly unlikely it will pass without items, but not impossible." ![]() |

ah. see this is why I asked for input back. So maybe closer to 1.5%? Something in that ballpark? ![]() |

As someone who loves dwarves I'm all for this. I don't know a lot about pass rate percentages but as is dwarves are almost impossible to breed. It's kind of funny how there are probably more tigon and leopons out than dwarves but the hybrids are still so much more expensive. ![]() ![]() |

i feel as though with the passrates for dwarves, their market would either dwindle down or stay the same. market wise, i wouldn't want to add a passrate; though if you're just breeding a dwarf to breed them, then it should be fine. though the passrate is odd because second gen hybrids have a 5% chance of passing their hybrid down to their cubs; why would dwarves only be a 1% deal? it would make them even more difficult to breed, especially with the chance of players using a buffy or a gop on the dwarf to get more of a chance for dwarf babies. at that point, i would just use a lion scrote; for me, having a passrate that low wouldn't do anything if a lion scrote has more of a chance to give me a dwarf baby than the dwarf passrate. anyways! it's still a nice suggestion nonetheless, just not my cup of tea. ![]() |

Yeah, even if they don't implement a pass rate to dwarves they could make an item that is less expensive and made specifically for dwarves to pass, because lion scrotums are way more valuable than the dwarf itself, and that's if there is a dwarf in the litter. ![]() |
