I always reccommend to start with the minimum, you can increase depending on how many requests you get. When doing that I also reccommend putting restrictions on the lowest fertilities so you won't get a 1% for less than 200 sb etc.

If you want to make your king more wanted as a stud, I'd reccommend the following: fill up the 10 standard marking slots with nice looking markings and get a replace that's either high stats (think at least 2k+) or a clean mutation.
