I know this is not exactly a direct mutation per say, but I feel like it could be a interesting aspect to birthing and couldn't figure out which board this would be best for. -Survival Premature litters would have a permanently lowered survival rate. Even with a broodmother the chance of survival would be around 50%, They would require their mothers and broodmothers longer than average cubs, with them weaning off their mother at 7-8 months compared to 5. Their survival rate would slowly rise as they age until it reaches 75% at adolescent stage. But it wouldn't be 100% until adulthood. -How this would happen Similar to what I've read relating to humans, premature litters would be more common with very old but fertile lionesses, low fertility and very young (just hit two year mark) lionesses. It would also be more common amongst dwarf lionesses and maybe achromia. Maybe having it also be more common with lionesses who have produced 15+ cubs too just to add another aspect to breeding. No matter what it'd be a very rare occurrence, and age/mutation would only slightly raise the chances of it happening, but not by an extreme amount. CRB would also affect the likelihood as well as other mutation causing items. -WHY someone could actually want this Premature cubs would have a higher likelihood of mutations, better chances of passing difficult markings like rosettes and rare bases. Perhaps also passing on more markings in general. The point in this mutation would more so to be the high risk high reward scenario. In case I rambled too much and forgot to say this, this would be a very rare occurrence even with all the breeding items and dwarf heats. Please be kind with any questions or concerns about this concept, I'm very open to discussion or disagreement just a sensitive lil baby with mean attacks you know? |

I think it would be cool if their art made them look slightly stunted too, maybe a skinnier look to them or just straight up smaller on the screen 0 players like this post! Like? |

Yes I was thinking about some sort of minor change in appearance, maybe scrawnier and visibly less "fluffy" to imply thin hair. 0 players like this post! Like? |

this is neat! the age of the sire should definitely matter too, that's how it is in humans but nobody talks about how sperm of an older man is even more likely to result in many defects than eggs from a woman of the same age ;) so i assume age of the male has relevance in other mammals too 0 players like this post! Honestly, Much higher chance of a mut but actually less marks sounds more realistic 0 players like this post! Like? |

I support. Maybe for premature cubs their could also be a small chance of some or all of the cubs dying during birth. If all the cubs die, then it could act like a cotton root bark for the female. I think you already mentioned this but maybe a higher chance for lionesses that have a low fertility or are older? 0 players like this post! Like? |

This could be interesting! Especially if you could have an Item that would almost force a premature birth like CRB (separate from IBF) and any cub could have a premature aspect to them. You could get a premie gon or pon or dwarf really easily but the premie status would make keeping them alive extremely hard so it's nearly not worth it and you have to rely completely on the RNG gods to see if you cub would survive. With the aspect of getting gons and pons with dwarfs easier because of it, like you said, the risk reward system would be really risky and almost not worth it, thus keeping it fair! Maybe they could even have a permanent game effect of being a premie and their offspring would have a high likely hood of being infertile, blind or eyeless. (Maybe.. thus natural first gen or naturally passed gons, pons and dwarfs be worth more than their premie cousins) 0 players like this post! Like? |

i think it would also make sense for hybrids to be more likely to have premature cubs, since afaik it does happen more often when it comes to hybrids irl 0 players like this post! Like? |

Heres some ideas: 1- If the cub has a mutation, the rarer it is, the less chance of surviving it has 2- It has a slight higher chance of a cub being lethal, but not that much 3- The survival percentage of the cub caps at certain number, so no matter what you do, you'll never go over it 4- non mutated cubs have a higher chance to be fine, with a normal survival percentage, but some will have it a little bit lower (maybe between 80%-100%?) 5- Stats of premature cubs are always low (or maybe they just have a really high chance of being it) 6- iBF is basically making a cub premature, so maybe it has a chance, but lower, of having the same effects? These are my ideas, you have my support just because I'm also a premature and, even though I had enough luck to be born without problems, I'll love to have lions who are like me 0 players like this post!
