I'm thinking that as a Broodmother levels up that she can start protecting more cubs as her level gets higher because it's extremely frustrating only being able to have 4 broodmothers while being able to have 200 cubs which all can't be protected. A level 1 BM would only be able to protect 5 and then once she gets to like level 2 or 3 she can protect 1 more cub so it doesn't get to OP, and then so on. There should also be a max of cubs they could protect due to someone just leveling a lioness by hunting and then switching them, so maybe like 10 cubs max on a regular lioness and maybe like 11 or 12 on a nurturing so they still have their extra cub! Edit: Someone asked how broodmothers level, they would level just as they usually do, by protecting cubs! They DO in fact gain experience by being given cubs to protect and will gain experience from each cub they protect every rollover! Edit: Here are two examples of unhunted leveled up broodmother lionesses! https://www.lioden.com/lion.php?id=794131868715 https://www.lioden.com/lion.php?id=794129344730 |

I was correcting misinformation. You said that if someone has 200 cubs they probably have over 40 territory, when it's entirely possible that they only have 40 territory and only the allowed amount of broodmothers for that amount of territory. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Hi, Fading Angel! OP here! (P.S. Just because they're not the OP doesn't mean someone can't give you information as to why they agree with the topic! BUT what's funny is both of those two, to my knowledge are no supports! Anyhow, thank you R and Kaliyana, I'm glad you did post because I didn't even know some of that stuff and misinformation was implied!) Anyway Fading Angel, I do have 40 territory and 200 cub slots. I believe it has to do with the fact that they're cubs and don't serve any purpose except growing and training in the pride so they take up space different than the grown lions do! Or something like that. I'd be happy to go find some concrete information for you if that doesn't serve as a good enough explanation! Broodmothers DO gain experience! As someone who doesn't hunt broodmothers before making them BM I know this because mine start out at Level 1 and I now have my four girls up to Levels 8, two 12s, and and 14! See here: https://www.lioden.com/lion.php?id=794117262050 https://www.lioden.com/lion.php?id=794127857225 (*Not gonna put all four the last two are named Vicis and Solstice if you're not convinced!) Also, switching cubs everyday would be pointless because if you remove them from broodmother protection than that drops them down to 60-70% survival and then when you roll over it'd drop more, also it's just tedious and not something I'd want to do when I get on. Thank you for your contribution! Also hello Admins! :D 0 players like this post! Like? |

Again. Where did I say that 40 territory slot and 200 cubs slots came hand in hand?? I did not. I said. You get a mother per 10 slots. And it is unlikely to have a full 200 cubs with 40 lionesses. It is possible. Just not likely. If 40 lionesses all had 4 cub litters. You get 160 cubs. Leaving room for extra that you may have bought and what not. Seriously everyone needs to reread and stop twisting everything. I just stated why i do not support. The only misinformation was the exp. Which doesnt even really matter for females anyways since they dont gain stats from leveling. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 24/12/19 @ 16:57:07 by Fading Angel (Clean Pearl) (#81854) |

Hey, because people keep mentioning it, maybe place in the topic that people gotta remember broodmothers gain EXP by just protecting cubs? Just so they know! I totally support <3 0 players like this post! Like? |

I've been thinking about this thread a lot, and it's nagging at me how many people didn't believe the broodmothers leveling, so I've got a couple examples, my broodmothers from my side! https://www.lioden.com/lion.php?id=794131868715 https://www.lioden.com/lion.php?id=794129344730 Neither of them have ever hunted (you can see!) but they're still gaining exp, and leveling! Feel free to add these guys in if you'd like an an example! :D 0 players like this post! Like? |

I think it kills the whole point of broodmothers. Or rather should I say - cubs mortality. If you could have all or most of the cubs protected what would be the point of said mortality? You can make sure that really important cubs will survive and you have to take care of the rest. Broodmothers were a compromise actually. If you have 40 slots I would buy 41th just to be able to have 5 broodmothers. 2GB aren't very hard to get. And that's 25 to 30 cubs protected. And broodmothers being able to protect 5-6 cubs each is already not very realistic. Of course it's for the sake of the fun gameplay but still - streching that..? No from me. 0 players like this post!
