A consistent, linear vertical gradient! It differs from other unders markings in two ways: Firstly, it doesn't follow the belly patterning/underside of the body, simply fades to light over the shoulders, over the front of the legs, and over the front of the entire head rather than sticking to the lion's body contour. Secondly, it doesn't have any defined boundaries- it's a gradient without any kind of defined edge, simply a fade straight into the lighter color. As someone who churns out design after design I look at a lot of markings and some designs would benefit from something extremely specific. Mist, Undercover, and other marks get close but not exactly at what I want, which is a completely blended fade into a lighter shade that I can put under something like Underfelt or Under 3. A soft gradient without clear borders in general would be a really nice addition for Lioden, since it seems to be new territory :D Would probably look best to blend into bases without a sharp underside such as Ebony, Maroon, Champagne, Asali, Maziwa, Slate, Glass, Buttercream, Ivory, Pearl, Rough Ruby, and Sepia- and of course there are plenty more to use! The color selection for this particular mark would be wide, as it's a basic multipurpose marking and as such should be able to be adapted in lots of ways. It's Tier 1 for that reason, as well. another marking to try: hint |
