As it says on the title. An option in account settings to out-out of intensely gory, disturbing, or horrific decors. It could work a few ways:

-Staff makes a list of decors they believe to be more upsetting than usual
-Users manually select which decors upset them in the 1k+ list of decors
-There's a group poll done to determine the worst
-you can filter out decors based on the name/tag/etc

In the end though, it'd work sort of like a permanent "Hide decor" option, hiding the selected decors from view.

Thoughts/critiques? If No support, feel free to tell me why!

NO, I don't accept "just don't look at it" and "lioden is an adult game" as critiques. Kindly refrain from those kinds of comments.

Absolutely support lmao, regardless of who this site is meant for, adults are still allowed to be grossed out or made uncomfortable by some things. I'd love a combination of the first two? Ex: staff has a list of the upsetting ones we can opt out of for ease, and then the ability to go in and uncheck certain ones that don't bother us / check other ones that do.

To expand on the tags, btw, It'd be things like "bugs" "blood" "serious injury", etc. Decors could be filtered under those tags and omitted in a wide range that way.

Agreed and supported, the maggot decor in shop is making me feel itchy as fuck and feel sick, I don't have the phobia related to small holes (can't remember what it's called, although I might?) But it's still gross

I made a thing like this a while ago, got 11 downvotes and 4 upvotes. Honestly I hope this gets accepted because my -friend who has severe trypophobia is on lioden and I'm concerned for her-

I'm pretty chill and openminded and even I don't like to see it. I feel bad for those people who are more sensitive.

Personally, I'm not to bothered by the decor.

Still supporting, however! I think the way you've phrased how one might select which decors show or not could work coding wise and if there are people on lioden who need it for one reason or another I can't see a good reason why it shouldn't be implemented!

I'm not at all bothered by the decor but for real I had to look at it twice. (the maggot one).

I worry about folks more sensitive then me. (I've worked with animals and injuries in the field and I know most people aren't like me)

I'll support.

Like I mentioned, I shed hunt so I've seen things while on my ventures. But even I get bothered by other things like the ticks last month, severe injuries (I don't want my lion's bones showing thank you... >.>) and things like that. I'm okay with minor scars and such, just nothing that looks like it could be fatal.

No support, not because I think it's a bad idea, but the staff are already up to their necks with work, and to have to do this for every single decor amongst the hundreds, maybe even thousands that there are, to sort through each and every one of them is just unrealistic and not fair for the developers. I understand that people have weak stomach towards some things, that's fine nothing against that I totally get it, we all have the one thing that makes us squirm, but we can't ALWAYS rely on everyone else to adjust things for us to be comfortable. As people we need to be able to manage some things ourselves and to not look. If something bothers you click out quickly, hide decor with the hide decor button. It is a bit unfair to ask the staff to do such a big task for something we can and should be able to manage ourselves.

"the staff are already up to their necks with work" That's not a real reason. No one is demanding they implement it now. Staff can add any suggestion anytime they want at their leisure.

Besides, there's very few gore decors relative to everything else. Hot spots are January, March, October.

It's equally unfair to ask players to play the game and just hope they don't run into a trigger lol

Thank you everyone for the input!

The current solution to disturbing images is just "disable the event" which is unfair and unrealistic.

Would it be hard to implement? I don't know, truthfully. I'm no coder and don't have a good grasp on that stuff. However, lioden staff often adds new features and then leaves their old stuff to gather dust.

I'm a huge supporter of making the Lioden experience more accessible, and being able to filter out triggering content manually is a way to improve that.

full support! contrary to what some people in the other thread said, people's triggers/squicks are always more important than people saying it's not necessary.
