As you may or may not know, in 2018 I suggested the Yellow-throated Marten decor. In February 2019, it was added and I was the happiest person on earth. And so now, I am back with another black and yellow marten.

The Nilgiri Marten is a larger cousin of the Yellow-throated Marten, and is the only marten native to southern India. They are generally much slimmer than their smaller, more cold-acclimated cousins. Nilgiri Martens are also extremely similar in appearance to Yellow-throated Martens, but generally the yellow/orange of their coat is confined to the chest and neck, with the rest of their fur being a dark brownish black. Also, a white chin is common.
