It is visible that a lion is old: they have got some white fur on their muzzle and they are skinnier. Wouldn't it be nice to have simmilar art for hungry lions? For example: • 60%-69% hunger - a lion is a bit skinnier than othes; • 70%-79% hunger - even thinner, bones are more visible; • 80%-89% hunger - very thin, bony; • 90%-99% hunger - mostly skin and bones. It would also let you know your lion's hunger without checking the bar. Suggested by #171993: it could be a payable feature (like cub poses). It could look a bit like Event Scar: Emaciated. Decors showing lions to be hungry (like the one above) would still stay as they are, as some players feed their lions regularly and the decors are useful for story purpose. The biggest disadvantage of this suggestion is the amount of work that would have to be put in it, that's why it could be a paid feature. |

Some players do feed their lions fairly regularly, like myself, so the decors could still be useful for story purpose; and depending on implementation, the decor could be kept and even when fed the lion could appear hungry if someone uses this feature and a decor, or they just use the decor and don’t use this feature. 1 player likes this post! Support but as a paid thing (like cub stages). As it'd be new artwork that doesn't yet exist it would need relatively strong support to be made, but it'd definitely be neat! 1 player likes this post! Like? |

It was mentioned before but my problem with this is how it would work with markings, bases, mutations, ect. it would be neat but thats a LOT of art that needs to be redone. I dont think its worth the trouble tbh. Even if its a paid feature it would basically be redoing the entire website, and theyd have to ask for a lot of gb to make it worth it, not to mention the amount of time it would take to redo everything... How about decors?? theyd have to redo them to fit with the starving lions Too much stress/strain on the artists imo. No support 1 player likes this post! Like? |

I don’t think it would work much differently than the art when lions age, which wouldn’t be all that much. I imagine it would be more of an overlay than redrawn. 1 player likes this post! Like? Edited on 06/03/20 @ 10:06:41 by R - Rhodonite (#171993) |

I don't think the decors would be remade, why would they? Sorry, I don't understand. Yes, I know it would be a lot of work for the artists, though I still think that it would be a nice feature. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 29/06/23 @ 01:34:02 by Filow (#64664) |

Think about it like this, theres 6 poses and 34 mutations for female lions. Thats 40 linearts that will need to be adjusted just for female lions alone. Now take in account theres 231 bases and 1617 markings. Ignoring muts thats 231x7(3 cub stages, 2 adols, 2 adults)=1617(interesting how thats the same number of markings :o ) base edits and 1617x7=11,319 marking edits. Now add in pies, muts, poses, manes, ect thats a hell of a lot of work. I like the idea its just that thats a *lot* of work. If its done it would be done right and not just some rib deco thrown on, it would probably also include changing the lineart to be skinnier, sunken in cheek bones, bones sticking out, ect. Just look up starving lions and you can see the differences vs a healthy lion to get an idea of how the artists would want it to look Easiest way I can think to explain the deco is look at what my main is wearing, it wraps around the body in a way that it would prob need to be edited to look right on a skinnier body Just saying it again, I like the idea and it would be neat, just a lot more would go into it than youd think 1 player likes this post! this seems like WAY to much work for such a small addition. as someone who does lineart for different adopts, small changes can still take hours of effort. no support, sorry. 1 player likes this post! Like? |
