What gameplay feature is this bug affecting?

What's the issue? Please include any error messages you receive and as much detail as possible.
No error message, and not a major bug, but as a coder myself, thought you'd want to hear about the unplanned feature. When I feed my lions from my hoard, it says,

"Please note: This option will choose the item which will expire soonest to use."

Well...

Sometimes it does? Other times, it breaks and just uses a random item. Example, I had a stack of small meat chunks, three of which expired tomorrow, and five of which had nine days left. I hit "Use!". and it used one of the nine days left meat chunks. So I tried again, and it used the same meat chunks, and they disappeared, as they were used up. I tried again twice, and another of the fresh meat was used. Again, and one use of a one day left meat and a use of a nine days left meat were used. It continued in this way until I was out of meat chunks, so now I'm going back to test with other food items.

They gave everyone their full saturation of hunger that they are meant to give, so that's not an issue. Also not a big deal if it doesn't get fixed. Just thought you should know.

Please provide us with step by step explanation how this bug happened so we can attempt to replicate it. If it's complex, please include screenshots where possible:
1. Get a bunch of meat at different levels of expiry in stacks.
2. Go to your hoard and click the stack.
3. Feed lions in the order suggested by the list.
4. Observe and be amazed.

Edit: It appears that this only happens to small meat chunks, after testing it on my side. However, other food gets used at random every once in a while, too. I have a feeling that this is kind of a luck type of thing.
