Listen, I'm a casual player that hoards base apps like crazy and I still find it a bit strange how many there are in event shops now. I know there are a lot of more hardcore players that like the challenge of getting and breeding the handful of raffle bases that are added. I know that a bit myself, breeding a Sunrise on my side was an awesome feeling. App bases deprecate quickly in value for those that watch the economy more than I do, too. App bases are overrepresented by the game in general, there are comparatively few Uncommon and Rare bases as well.

So what I'm saying is I think there should be less focus on shiny new apps for events and more focus on new raffle or combo bases, Uncommons, and Rares. There could even be new event based raffles to release them in like the Celestial Lioness in July. I'm not suggesting any apps be retired, every app base should stay one, just that other ways to release bases be focused on for a little while. Less instant gratification, more challenge (and a little more variety in Uncommon and Rare fails!)
