Like I said in the title, I think identical twins would be a good addition to the game. Additionally, it requires no art to be drawn, so it wouldn't be too much work to implement. As for how it would work, I think I have a good idea. I think it shouldn't be a proper mutation, as irl identical twins isn't a genetic trait. I think it would just be a random event that can happen sometimes. It would be rolled before any of the cubs, and if it succeeds, then instead of generating each cub individually, it just rolls for one cub, and applies those genetics to all of the cubs. Since it's technically not a mutation, I don't think it should be affected by low fertility or other mutation modifiers. |

Semi support... What would happen with crunchy worms? Would there be a chance to get two clones of your females? Ill see what others say as well before putting down my full support :) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Oh, crunchies, didn't think of those. I'd think there's about 2 options for that, 1) Identical Twins rolling cancels out the Crunchy Worm or 2) Using a Crunchy Worm automatically makes it so Identical Twins can't roll. Basically, either way one gets cancelled out, but which one gets cancelled out is a separate decision. I'm not OP though so that's just my thoughts on the matter. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I support 2) Crunchies cancel out identical twins but perhaps only for the cub that was crunchied? 2 players like this post! Like? |

Guillo, extremely valuable lions can already be cloned (Crunchy Worm), and the post specifies that it's not the mom's genes that are getting cloned with this, it's one of the cubs, so depending on rng it could just be a bunch of identical potatos. 2 players like this post! Like? |

And if you end up with a triple? You could end up with *two.* A Mandarin or Kimanjano? Two at a time. It could be potatoes, but there's an equal chance that it could be a valuable lion. We already have crunchy worms, yes, and that's as much cloning as we need. Just because we already have it doesn't mean we need more chances. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Ive decided to completely support this after some more thought on it. However - I still do not support cubs rolled from a crunchy worm to be able to have the ability to twin. The chance of Twins would be so low that it would be very rare for that to happen. Personally this is how I feel, if you hit the jackpot and breed twin quad rosette Kimanjanos, your lucky enough to deserve them. Hats of to you. The chances of getting a mandarin or kimanjano alone are so rare the chances of you getting twins are nigh impossible. The part where Guillo said, "It could be potatoes, but there's an equal chance that it could be a valuable lion." Actually isnt true. Crap cubs are a lot more common then valuable ones, and the pass rate for kimanjano or mandarin or combo bases or rosettes are so low already getting a twin one you would practically hit the lottery. This game is a lot about chance. There are plenty of chances to hit the genetics lottery in this game. This is just another fun opportunity for that. Twins would happen on expensive breedings just as easily as it could on a newbies first lioness. Its not a controllable factor like a crunchy and it may very well spawn on your ugliest cubs of the year - thats the fun of it, the chance aspect that keeps things valuable and keeps people playing the game. The purpose of it is to be a fun additional mutation, it doesn't need new art drawn which is a major plus, its great for pride lore and truly completely random. I support it- 5 players like this post! Like? |

This could barely be described as a mutation. All it is is getting the same cub twice. There is absolutely no need for this when we can already use things like Gnawrocks, Saltlicks etc and Crunchy Worms. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Could argue there isn't a need for a fair amount of items/features on this site, but it would make breeding more interesting so why not? 0 players like this post! Like? |

This would make breeding so much fun. Maybe you’re having a bad streak of luck, and out pops Ebony twins. It’d be one of those nice small details. There could be a lil’ notice also. Maybe it pops up in the daily rollover, or when you go to her after she’s given birth, Such as : ‘[Insert Lioness’s Name] stammers, calling you over in a hurry. [Insert Cub Name and ID] and [Insert Name and Cub ID] look identical.. twins? whaaaat?’ 1 player likes this post! Like? Edited on 14/04/20 @ 11:32:39 by Aloiria (#168423) |
