In regards to rumble or future markings, is possible to create an on/off option for certain markings that affect people negatively? An account preference sort of option that could place harmful markings into a lions hidden mark slot while the setting is turned on. If the lion is transferred into another account depending on the users settings it will pop up in its original slot or remain hidden. **This is mainly to support those who have adverse health reactions to certain markings such as the epilepsy to rumble instead of telling them to, "go away". It's to help mitigate their chances of running into these markings. Not all markings will be on/off, just those that pose as a health risk. |

Support, would also add in an simple "block image" type thing, the feature allowing the user to block whatever image from view, similar to how blocked users don't show in forums or chat, for example gore encounters or decor/the starving animals in January/etc, I actually can see this being a feature most people would use for one reason or another. 0 players like this post! Not supporting. Its just unnecessary coding as as was advised if people really are having issues physically when seeing it, seek out professional medical help and remove yourself from LD. Fact is that Rumble can and will appear in more than just lions alone such as screenshots and other such things which at that point whether people "censor" it or not is up to them so regardless, members will need to deal with the fact that other members may have Rumble displayed in screenshots in posts and other means all over the site and won't hide it solely because a bunch of people ask them to. Otherwise even if the excuse is "its ugly" then big whoop? I find plenty of markings ugly but all it takes it ignoring them, simple as that. Everyone else does it for other markings so it doesn't make Rumble any different frankly. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I don't think the issue was the marking was ugly, people have different opinions on what looks good and that's okay, but this has caused a negative effect for some people health wise. I don't think it was ever about it being just ugly? As for 'unnecessary' code, we can disabled event encounters, css, block members which stops them showing in chat/messages/forums. It seems like its already in place in an way, yes this would be bigger but its do able easily and we already somewhat have it. If you think disabling something like this is unnecessary code then what about the other examples I listed? 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 05/05/20 @ 17:14:08 by JokerCat (#40623) |

Yes please. The other suggestion I supported in a similar vein has already been vaporised, but this would be so useful imo. 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Tick So what, you'd rather another repeat of what just happened. Just to tell people "aVoId ThE mArK" while also shooting down any helpful ways for players to continue the game and avoid the mark? Wow, I love hypocrites. Screenshots you cant do much about, instead of coveribg the lion up, there should be a pop up saying "This lion has a mark that you have blocked!" Above it. It really wouldnt be that hard. They could program it so when that is working, that mark is just invisible to the player with the mark off. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I support this mainly because this is likely the best actual compromise in this divide and will make quite a few people less angry, I'd guess. I mean, I have no real opinion here; I made a Rumble bomb for giggles after all. But considering they temporarily made it invisible for everyone, I don't see how this can't be made into a feature to please everybody. 0 players like this post! Like? |

No support, one reason being for the sake of how many ways this could be overwritten by players. 0 players like this post! Like? |

@ Anamani So what, players should have to put up with seeing marks they don't like just because it has the chance of being abused? Also, its personal preference, just like how everyone in the newspost was saying "don't like it? Leave" 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Bumbleberry It would be used just for random unpleasure markings, like this looks bad and I don't want to see it. But with all that kind of markings, people can remove them or just don't stud the kings with this kind of stuff. Overwise it will be - exactly - overwritten and used just for your own pleasure and real impact would be legit for less than 10-15 users I guess. So yeah, this is just a ton of unnecessary job and more code issues. There is a lot of things you can't just block tho. 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Bumbleberry Im not here to argue with your obvious challenge or question of morals. You've said in essence the same thing of 'dont look at it' when regarding screenshots when responding to Ticklicous. Even if there was a block on the marking themselves, all edits and screenshots that people want to do to/with their lions will still be there, and thus, there would still be the 'problem' of 'having to look at the marking'. Also, on the terms of 'not seeing markings that someone doesn't like' wouldnt be fixable anyways, as a marking that someone else 'likes' could very easily be a marking that someone else 'dislikes'. Regardless of how they feel about the marking, when using those terms, it is also just as easy to just 'not look at the marking' when it is simply something you dont like. I dont say this to be insensitive to the people that have actual issues, just for the sake of your statement which you are currently making seem as 'if people dont want to see this, then instead of them making the choice to remove themselves from whatever they are seeing that causes them such distaste, get something that gets the game to do the job for them' which of course is completely something someone can do on their own, in that case. Also, there isnt a way to code in anything to give a 'warning' for 'a specific marking' when it comes to images that are made offsite that contain in game pictures (ie. screenshots of lions). In essence, this entire thing would be a waste of time and effort, as there isnt a real way to stop markings from being seen. Edit: Switched around some words because I get tripped up over them sometimes. Edit 2: Sorry if I seem extremely rude about this, I dont mean to! 0 players like this post! Like? I didn't have a problem with the marking and didn't pay it much mind when it was released until I saw why people were so upset about it today. Can't believe the way in which staff handled this matter and even more disgusting that there's people who are like "Just don't play" like damn y'all are so insensitive. I'm gonna leave this game until I see some actual change and support for folks who have health conditions. Good luck and hope staff doesn't delete or silence any more genuine criticism of their actions. 0 players like this post! Like? |

It's not unnecessary coding when the marking in question is harming people. 2 players like this post! Like? Edited on 15/08/22 @ 21:23:59 by Micah (#76335) |

Yeah, adding code to simply inform the user and/or remove the marking from view would be a good addition. Supported. 0 players like this post! Like? |
