So this is a long term project for me and it is on my Breeding Wishlist that you can see if you go to my den page. I know, leopon and tigon chances are really low compared to say Achromia, one of the most common mutations in the entire game. But, I love how leopons and tigons look, both in the game and in real life. In fact, almost my entire Breeding Wishlist is muties of some sort.

I watched a few videos on youtube about breeding muties including these 3 specifically about leopons:

I couldn't find any on tigons but I assume it would be very similar as far as breeding is concerned. Here are my lionesses' fertility categories so far:

High: Angel, Sorrel 5x Vit,
Good: Mauve Vit, Mauve 5x Vit, Melanistic, Sunspot Groupie
Average: Vandal 5x Vit, Chased NCL, Vitiligo 2,
Low: Aarlis, Storm, Cameo Feline, Slender Pie, Umber Lioness, Dabae, Flint Lioness, Khione
Very Low: Barbie, Prune Lioness, Eleven, Fawn, Withered Pie, Cupras, Titanium Vit, Titanium Patches, Celestia, Pheonix, Rosa, Midnight, Tora, Amber Raffle Prize, High Stat Jet, High Stat Chestnut, Supernova, Maltese Lioness, Mulberry VLF, Maroon Lioness
Infertile: Taffeta, Mulberry Infert

Or in other words I have this ratio:

I don't have any items that increase mutation chances yet. That will be until August and September, when I buy Buffy Balls and GMO cows respectively. Wish me luck as I try to breed a 1st Gen Leopon or Tigon. If I end up with both, that's even better. This does mean that retirement of my king will come before I get serious with the first gen hybrid, but that's good because in the case of a fail, I will have some pretty cubs from my heir.

However, I have one question and it relates to the heat cycle of my lionesses. When I get serious about breeding muties and particularly a first gen hybrid, should I give mutation items to every lioness in heat no matter the fertility(in other words, if my goddess fertility lioness is in heat on the same day as some of my LF's and VLF's, should I also give her the mutation items) or just those most likely to produce muties naturally(Low, Very Low, and Infertile)?

Because on the one hand, the more lionesses I breed with mutation items, the overall higher chance of a hybrid in the mix, because there will be more muties. But on the other hand, item amount might become an issue, so giving mutation items only to my LF, VLF, and Infertile lionesses will mean overall, more muties per litter, and also not use as many of the items, so more days of breeding with items will result.
