What gameplay feature is this bug affecting? Explore, Hunting, and Claim Lioness What's the issue? Please include any error messages you receive and as much detail as possible. As a bit of background, I am completely blind and navigate the site with a screen reader/assistive technology. This is a program that interprets the HTML of the site and reads it out for me as I navigate. 90% of this site is workable and I've been able to play pretty well, but there are a few areas where some text labels are probably needed since the important information is solely presented through images. * Browser/Software Used: - Google Chrome V81.0.4044.138 - Freedom Scientific JAWS V2020 (but for a "free" open source allegory that works in a fairly similar fashion, you can likely test using the open source NVDA) General Problems: * On the "Explore" page, where you choose the area on the image map to go to a specific section, none of these links have unique text labels. All of them are read as "image map link explorearea". Ideally these should read out a text name of what area it is, IE Temperate Grasslands. I was able to figure out where the Grasslands were by trial and error to complete the tutorial, but I am not sure what all the other spots are. * "Hunting", there is currently no text label or text indication of which spots in the map are currently selected. From the text, I am assuming there is a silhouette indicating the spot, but there should be also a text label or other indication of which areas are selected. (You can use WAI-ARIA attributes such as role="button" and aria-pressed="true/false" to make it appear like a toggle button in which it will show if it is selected or not to assistive technology.) The names of the spots show up fine here, though, so I am able to tell if something is Grassy vs. Shrubland at least. * "Claim Lioness", there is no way to tell what pose the lioness has to try to make an educated guess as to what strategy will work to claim her. I've managed to grab one with trial/error and reading the text cues after each attempt, but I think if there was a text indicator on what pose the lioness was using I may be able to figure out a better strategy. Any links relating to this bug? For example, if a particular lion is bugging, what is the link to that lion? N/A Any screenshots you can provide us with? N/A Please provide us with step by step explanation how this bug happened so we can attempt to replicate it. If it's complex, please include screenshots where possible: There really aren't any specific/complex steps to this. The "Explore" one happens if you go to Crossroads > Explore and look at the image map there. Hunting similar with Crossroads > Hunting, while the Lioness one deals with the "Claim Lioness" page that you encounter during exploring. 0 players like this post! Like? |
