So, this is an addition I've been wanting for a while, and the Dorsal fur boost challenge has brought it back to mind.

We have a secure to prevent from accidentally chasing our lions, so why not add the same thing for breeding?

Why? Well, as you read before, there are some items/boosts that we may want to use in a breeding to a specific lioness without accidentally breeding the wrong one, potentially wasting expensive items or hard-earned one-time boosts. It can also be beneficial to lock a lioness to prevent absent-minded breeding when one has bigger plans for her, or wants to be sure to avoid inbreeding. Say you had a lady that you wanted to attempt a season specific combo breeding breeding for, and the season would arrive on her very last day of heat; but oh no! You accidentally bred her absentmindedly before the right time, or you mistakenly sent a stud request for her instead of the lioness directly below her, only to just notice after the stud had accepted; and in either case, you don't have the funds for a CRB. Yes, you should have paid more attention, but you should also pay attention enough not to chase your one-of-a-kind, clean, triple rosette, raffle base hybrid that's worth hundreds of GB. Accidents happen, right? That's why we have the secure function that we do now. So, why not one for breeding too?

This function would be nearly identical to the secure function we have for keeping lions or beetles safe from accidental disposal, and can be enabled/disabled as the user's will. It would work for both males and females, who would be unable to stud/reverse stud respectively, until they were unlocked. Breeding-secured females should not show up in the list of your in-heat lionesses on stud pages.

When it comes to lions or lionesses who already have a pending heat or stud request, upon trying to update the lion, you'd get a prompt making you aware of the request(s) and instructing you to either accept or reject all of them before securing. Should you try to breed an unsecured lioness within your pride while your male is secured, you'd get a banner reminding you of his status rather than the normal success or fail prompt.

I'm not very good at digital art, so I'd love to see mock-up ideas of the icon for a lioness in the caves. Perhaps a lock with a little heat flame inside?


Additions: ⚔️TwoSwordsClash ⚔️ (#122111) suggested, "I think we at least need a notice saying “are you sure you want your king to accept this request / breed with this lioness; you have Buffalo Scrotum applied.“"
This would be helpful to ensure that we get effect out of our items/boosts when it's breeding time. How many times has time gotten away from you while you did something off of Lioden waiting for your energy to recharge, and you went to accept a stud request that came in while you were gone? It's always good to be mindful and only apply the items when you're ready to use them, but again, accidents happen. A safety net wouldn't do harm.

TL;DR A new secure like the one for chasing/killing/nature reserving, but for breeding.
