hi, i was just thinking, and not sure if already suggested but you know how you can search for lions e.g. "in heat" what if there was the same kind of button but to search for "no inbreeding". It only has to look for lions up for trade that it says on their heritage if they are not inbred. (e.g. if a lions heritage says "This lion has 3 instances of possible inbreeding." it therefore would not appear on the search) (not asking for it to look for big 4 as that is way to complex) Just a little suggestion to help those who like clean lines |

It would make stud searches less tedious, but would this have to check every lion in the heritage (going by the most common definition of clean) or would it just check the first page? Checking the first page seems more feasible. (then after that users have to go through the pages manually) I'm on the fence, but I'm curious why people are no-supporting? Edit: fixed typo 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 08/08/20 @ 15:28:48 by Moon (#205430) |

Yeah I'm not sure why this is getting so much hate, there's not much reason to not support it. I've been dreaming of a clean searching feature for sooo long, and inbreeding is the first step as every lion already has inbreeding counts on their heritage pages, and I don't think it'd be terribly difficult to include the entire heritage since lions wo inbreeding on their first page don't usually have super long lineages, and the code could open the remaining ancestors at generation five (since four and below can't have any more). This'd be super nice! 0 players like this post! Like? |

I'd 100% be for this, it'd save sooo much time checking through the heritage of every lioness that catches my eye. Sometimes if I'm not looking for anything in particular, just a certain number of markings or a base, I waste so much time finding out every lioness is inbred that I just give up and don't buy any. I'm guessing non voters are thinking it could encourage more people to only want clean lions and no inbreeding.. but the majority of people already go for that. 0 players like this post! Like? |

This might have been suggested before and possibly rejected by staff, but I'm not sure. I think the main reason an inbred filter wouldn't pass is because it makes the inbred avoiding playstyle official and further devalue inbred lions, thereby only working against inbreeders. As of right now, the two styles are more balanced in the fact that clean=higher value+more effort whereas dirty=lower value+lower effort. If a filter could be used to avoid all inbreeding it might unbalance things The best way to filter for zero inbreeding in search is to put clean or no inbreeding in the keywords section! The phrase "clean" is more widely used but not moderated so might be falsely listed, the phrase "no inbreeding" is less common right now but has been confirmed by mods to be a flagable issue if false, so is a safer bet generally! 0 players like this post! I mean, most breeders already specify "clean" in their trades. You can just search that keyword and you'll get tons of clean lions. 0 players like this post! Like? |
