Fire 🔥BLM (#35734) I agree that they would need to be edited if these were to be utilized. However, i believe that due to the 16+ age requirement on the site, mild stuff should be acceptable such as what we see in the February and may explore encounters.

i love the idea! however, i would hope it would be implemented to be less disturbing than the stuff in the february event— it's frankly unpleasant and unsettling, so i agree that i would hope the harsh text would be changed to be less NSFW, especially since it's implying that the lions were "doing it" without the intent of reproducing, which adds an unnecessary implication, imo ^^'

still, though, i love the idea!! i came up with a few more suggestions, if you'd like to add some more!


Harsh: [Lioness] examines you scathingly upon receiving the news, and as she stalks off to gather materials for her nest, you hear her muttering something about hoping the cubs will take after her. Rough crowd. Your breeding was successful.

Snarky: [Lioness]'s lip curls with disgust as she fixes her own stomach in a heated glare. As she enters the nursery, snapping at the other queens, you can practically see the smoke rolling from her ears. Poor cubs. Your breeding was successful.

Emotional: You're about to leave to explore when [Lioness] approaches you, eyes watering. She barely manages to give you the news before rushing off in search of the same sort of tree bark she used to chew on as a cub. Sentimental, much? Your breeding was successful.

Lazy: [Lioness] lets out a heavy sigh as she sulks by, whining about missing out on hunting to raise the "pests". Odd, considering she had complained about hunting not two days ago. Your breeding was successful.

Rebellious: [Lioness] looks unnervingly pleased by the news of her pregnancy. Later on, you hear her murmuring to herself about raising an army of delinquents. You'll have to keep an eye on that... Your breeding was successful.

Gracious: [Lioness]'s eyes shine with anticipation as she tells you the news, and she dips her head in quiet humility, thanking you for trusting her to raise the pride's future members. Your breeding was successful.

Evasive: You try to sit down and have a conversation about parenthood with [Lioness], but she's not having it. Every time you make an approach, she darts off with one excuse or another. Oh well, she can't avoid it forever. Your breeding was successful.

Brutal: When [Lioness] tells you the news, her eyes glint with malice, and she promises she will raise you battle-hardened soldiers or nothing at all. You feel somewhat unsettled by her unwavering glower, and make an excuse about needing to use the little lion's room. Your breeding was successful.

Warm: [Lioness] approaches you over dinner with a gentle smile to deliver the news. She speaks about motherhood with a golden glow in her eyes, and promises she'll rear your cubs to be generous and warm-hearted. Your breeding was successful.

Joyful: [Lioness] practically leaps on you in her excitement to deliver the news, which she happens to find out in the early hours of the morning. Your ears quickly learn to drown her out as she bounces about, planning family bonding trips and grooming sessions. Your breeding was successful.

Astrid | CLEAN 3.5K3x Clouded (#124118) Yeah i agree, all of those would be great. Again people who dont want to see it would have the option to turn it off if they so choose too. I just thought it would be a fun idea.
Also many encounters give off the idea of an animal doing it without means of reproduction such as the leopardess encounter available year round, Seth's quest quotes, etc.

@guardian yeah i know, but honestly those are kinda creepy too tbh,, if the game is trying to be realistic, animals form emotional bonds with each other, but usually the act of reproduction is not enjoyable and is actually pretty rape-y :/ i honestly wish they wouldn't have it in the game as anything more than a fact of life, it doesn't need all the attention they like to give it in the context of the game

but anyway (sorry, got to rambling), point of me bringing it up is while i support it being something you can turn off, i would hope it would be implemented in a way that would allow the maximum amount of players to enjoy it ^^ (also, pulling out is probably not something that should be mentioned on the website since it's a terrible means of birth control and 16-year-olds who don't know what it is are probably better off learning about it in health class than from this site haha! i would support as long as the texts are less focused on the actual act and more about the lioness' personality/how she reacts to being preggos haha ^^' sorry if that sounds aggressive at all, i don't mean it to be at all, i just have strong feelings against the ways in which the site includes reproduction in plot lines/events/etc haha, but nothing against you!! i think your suggestion is really great honestly, i wish we had more suggestions like this that just add to the interactions & dynamics between the pride members ^^

I just meant the pull out thing as a joke, since given actual feline anatomy i dont think condoms would be very effective either lol. I dont know i just think that pregnancy announcements are fun. but yeah you are 100% correct and changes would need to be made if it was implemented so that it doesn't seem to idk gimmicy? plot divicey?. My whole goal is just to give the pride members more personality for the players to play off of when creating story lines and stuff since breeding is a big part of this breeding sims game. Thank you, you are the sweetest!

@guardian yeah i know haha ^^' it just would probably be a bit unnerving if it pops up every time you stud a harsh lioness haha!! but i totally agree, i love basing my lore off of my lioness' birth personalities, it gives so much more flavor and makes story lines unpredictable, even if you're the one writing them :D and thank you so much!! if you ever want a partner to write the rest with you, feel free to reach out!

I always like a bit of tailored flavour text.
I’d only personally support though of there were few or no texts where the lioness is angry/upset/distressed/resentful about getting pregnant. Given the real life issues there are with female bodily autonomy and a woman’s rights to choose to be pregnant or not, that could get uncomfortable for many.

There’d still be ways to make it work for the different personalities though!
Like a vain lioness could tell you the cubs are bound to be beautiful, because they’re her cubs. (But not as beautiful as her, obviously.)

Harsh could say they better not be little cry babies like some of the other lionesses’ kids.

Evil lionesses could say something like “I hope I have a boy so one day when he’s big and strong, he will be a king!” You don’t know wether or not you should be concerned by this.

I actually think that type of flavor text would be cooler;

It would give more insight into how the lions act/give more character than just "Vain lioness sad cuz ugly :(" and it would be cool to see the reason each lioness would want cubs! One thing I suggest for OP is to add a section for possible flavor texts.
