I don't know about other players but I know me and my friends would love it if there was a way to move around and arrange decors in different positions. Have a decor that blocks one side of your lion on the left or right side? Use the button to move it to the other side so you can use the decor you want without blocking your precious darling. Want decor behind your lion? Same thing. Some of the decors would be really great if we could rearrange them. It would also mean that some wouldn't look so cluttered. It could be an add on to the equipper. |

As cool as this idea is, I'm gonna have to say no support from me. Since the way decor is done is as a layer over or behind the image, each different angle would potentially be another image file that would have to be added into the site's server, which would increase the load on the server which could in turn slow the site down even more than it can become at times when there's a lot going on. I just don't feel like its a necessary addition to the site. If you've ever done decor for the site ( ie custom decor) or looked into the coding of the site and how each lion image is created, you'd know that each marking, base, eye color, mane color + skin color as well as each individual decor image is a different layer as well. Plus, a lot of the ones that sit behind the lion aren't completely done out. They have cut-outs for each stage, so trying to redo how decors are positioned would potentially mean more art load on the site's artists. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Zodiac I understand this but maybe they will find a way to make it so that it doesn't slow down. I have seen other sites with pets maybe not as complex but they have been able to do it without slowing down so maybe there is a way to do it. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I agree with zodiac, the concept itself i would love and is amazing, but it would be pretty hard to stop it from lagging 0 players like this post! Like? |

From my understanding, they would have to redo the entire way the site is laid out. Like I stated, each individual marking is a different layer. So say you've got a decorated lion who has all 20 marking slots filled. So for that lion alone, the site has to load in the base color layer, the eye color layer, the skin color layer, the tail tip/mane layer (depending on gender), plus those 20 marking layers at their respective opacity. That's already 24 layers for just the appearance of the lion. Then, if you've got 10 decors placed on that lion, it brings it up to 34 layers. Even a lion with only 10 markings would have 24 layers at that point. Now imagine this with kings. There's tons of kings out there who are decorated and decked out. Loading those lion images would take even longer with something like this implemented. Essentially, including a feature such as this would likely mean changing the way the whole site operates by way of how it displays lions. 0 players like this post! Like? |
