"Supernova is alive?" Sour says, confused. "I swore to kill this family because I was told Linx mislead and killed Supernova". She sits down, her large head lowered a little in thought. "All I can do is apoligise for beliving him".

"Oh. Ok then," Sirius said, thankful that it looked like most of Sours' aggression was gone. Ara shuffled back over to him and he gave her a grateful lick on the head before she ran off into one of the caves. He didn't know whether it was a trap, so he kept his sub males where they were, but told them not to attack yet. "Alpha tricked many of us, some are still being hurt by her actions. Let's just be glad that nobody had to die over her lies."

Julia grins like a drunk, and runs up to Sour. He purrs and rubs his head on her chin, and she chuckles a little. "We should get going, then; I'm sure my pride needs me." Sour sighs, and sets off into the woods. Julia seems sad but follows, happy his new friends don't need him. They arrive home to a hero's welcome from all but Ross who just mutters about going for a nap. Sour takes her wives, thier various young, Greenie the submale and of course Julia back to thier home on the east banks of the Duo river. Her spirit satisfied for now, Sour falls back into normal life happily; Julia often stares up at the stars or into the swirling river with some kind of longing every so often, but nobody seems to notice as he often behaves oddly. Sour feels they are yet to have thier final adventure involving the star pride and Linx's family: it's something about these woods... first Alan and Latte, and now Julia, Sour and Ross.

Supernova made his way back to the pride with Pheonix and Sirius filled him in on what happened. Supernova nodded at Sirius's report, thankful for how he handled the situation. Sirius then walked over to Zellie while Supernova gathered the pride for a meeting.
"Thanks," Sirius said to Zellie, "I don't know if you saw my plan, but I'm glad you went along with it despite it not being necessary."
Supernova had gathered everyone so Sirius went to stand by him.
"Hello everyone," Supernova began, "It is good to see you all. At this point, you are all aware Alpha lied to you about my death. Another note, my mate Pheonix is back." There was a murmur of surprise from the pride but Supernova continued, "That was the reason for my absence. Now that she is back however she will be welcomed into the pride once more, however, she will not have her role as lead huntress back yet, Lupus will remain as the lead. Now the main reason I have called you here is to tell you about Alpha's passing." If there was shock when the news had come out about Pheonix, it was nothing compared to this. Several lions started talking among themselves, a few looked happy, a few looked sad. One male, in particular, looked especially angry. He had a pink mane and dark fur, white patches along his pelt.
"How?" he called out angrily.
Supernova waited for the lions to quite down, "When I came back into this world, I immediately came to check on the pride. However Alpha intercepted me. She thought I no longer deserved to rule, so she tried to kill me. In our battle, she accidentally slipped off a cliff."
"So you killed her?" The male challenged.
"No," Supernova said firmly, it was not my fault she died. I tried to reason with her, but she was determined to kill me. It was in her haste then she slipped and died."
The dark male just snarled and left. Sirius leaned over to Zellie and whispered, "That's Scorpio. He had a thing for Alpha, everyone knew it. Well, except for maybe her. He was her closest follower, and he always hated Supernova. I don't quite know why."
"Anyway," Supernova said, "Since Alpha never choose an heir, all willing sub males will go through our usual challenges. The winner will be made co-ruler."

Supernova and Sirius walked over.
"Hey Zellie, how does your pride choose who leads?" Sirius asked, "Normally the current ruler chooses an heir, but Alpha didn't get the chance. Our tradition then is to have contests judging strength, smarts, and most importantly, how connected they are to the stars."

Supernova nodded, "Feel free. Right now though we should all get some sleep." He walked off to join Pheonix, smiling for the first time all day. Sirius didn't say anything, just respectfully dipped his head to Zellie before heading off to sleep as well. A few lions stayed out to watch the stars, but most just went into the caves to sleep.

Supernova dipped his head in greeting, "Follow me for a moment." He walked over to a group of lionesses, "Any sign of Linx?"
"Not quite," one replied, "We caught his scent around our borders, but it was faint."
"Thank you," Supernova said dismissing them, "Do you have any guess about his whereabouts Zellie?"

Supernova sighed, "I guess I can send out another search party." He motioned with his tail, and some lionesses nodded in understanding before running out of camp. He surveyed the rest of his pride, most were awake and standing in clumps around the center of the camp so he called them to attention, while Sirius walked up to Zellie,
"I can explain stuff, like who everyone is and what's going."
Supernova started speaking, so Sirius quieted, "As you are all aware, a new co-ruler is needed, all eligible and willing step forward." A melanistic, average looking male stepped forward, followed by an intelligent-looking stratosphere.
"That's Shadow and Armstrong," Sirius whispered. There was a gasp when the next male stepped forward, Scorpio. Supernova's face tightened but he didn't say anything. There was another ripple of surprise when a female pushed her way to the front, Lupus. There were many whispers, people probably wondering if it was alright for a female to compete, but Supernova shrugged, and continued talking,
"Very well you four. The first challenge will be a brawl, Shadow against Armstrong, and Lupus against Scorpio. The winners will battle so we can confirm who is indeed strongest."

(So like I said there are traditionally three parts of this, however, since this is mostly an event in just my pride I could always just do a brief summary and move on, unless you want detail. How short/long should I make this?)
