I've noticed that the rabid encounters, while accurate, aren't really telling the full story of what rabies actually does to an animal that contracts it. I would really love to see a lot more of the different stages of rabies (detailed below) instead of just the aggressive, final stage. Ontop of that, it seems most of the encounters we get are of carnivores with rabies! While I think these should stick just to battles, it would be nice to see some more herbivorous showing symptoms as well! Rabies also consists of a Hiding (First stage) and a Neurological (Second stage). The first stage is the more normal stage, where the animal is just not feeling well. Maybe we could see a zebra standing a little further from the herd, or a leopard that is trying to hide beneath a log? Maybe they occasionally drop an item or something for gameplay sake? The neurological stage is where things really start ramping up with tremors, involuntary movements, wobbly walking, ect. I'd really like to see more herbivores in this stage, as I imagine they'll be pretty easy to pick off and avoid the Hallucinogenic (Or aggressive) final stages of the disease. I imagine a staggering cow or wildebeest being an easy opportunity for our king to attempt to snatch some prey, and possibly get infected in the process! I can also see smaller critters like Serval and Foxes being an opportunity for collecting new items to craft with and such. (Maybe Serval skulls or fox tails or something of that nature!) TLDR: I'd really like the full stages of the disease highlighted! And I think it could make for some very interesting encounter and art opportunities! |
