The recent Development News Update released October 9th 2020 revealed a lot of major changes planned for the future of lioden! Among these announcements, it was shown one of the upcomming plans was to replace the logo and colour scheme of the menu bar at the top of the page
These tables will fill out as people reply with their thoughts! Sll comments in "quotation marks" are direct quotes from comments to this thread! It has been voiced by a number of players that they prefer the current/old design, with many players wanting either no change at all or an option to keep the current layout via a den toggle. This suggestion is mainly to get a feel for the wider community's opinion on the changes and whether or not they would like them to go ahead. It is purely focused on the asthetic changes of the logo, not of the overall rehaul plans. If you prefer the current older logo, click Support and leave a comment to tell me why you're against the planned changes If you prefer the new, planned logo, click Don't Support and leave a comment to tell me why you're looking forward to the new changes! Whichever way you're leaning, please remember to stay respectfull of myself, staff and other players opinions! |

The newer one looks more...basic? It doesn't have the energy of the one we have right now, and gives me the feeling of an older site instead of a redesigned version? The stripes are a bit more tiger-resembling than claws, but either way it makes it look more interesting than the newer one. Definite support.  0 players like this post! Like? |

To be honest, I prefer the original logo as well. However, either way won't really effect me too much. I think maybe they should just make a newer version of the old one, but eh, it's their ultimate choice. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I suspect that if we could see the entire page, the new version would fit well with the new layout. If I imagine the current logo with the heading bar of the new version... that'd look weird. I don't prefer one over the other, but I love that so much work is going into Lioden so I am in full support of a new look. I remember the first logo, and when that one changed (the L used to be a little lion head!). If they go for the newer logo, that's their choice, but I definitely prefer the current one; in my opinion, it embodies what Lioden is, instead of trying to seem "modern". I do like the symbols used with the navigation on the new top bar preview! But the current/old logo... It's somewhat nostalgic at times. For everything else that has changed over the years, once the oldest logo was dropped, this one's stayed. It's like.. harkening back to it's roots, you know? This started as a pretty small site, and it's been amazing watching it grow. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Hey, all! We completely understand that change is jarring and scary. That being said, we'd really prefer that you all give the new logo more of a chance and perhaps take some time to envision how it will look on a brand new layout. It's a bit unfair to decide after only a few short hours that you don't want it on the new layout at all, especially when only a small preview has been provided. I'll be locking this topic for now—please avoid creating additional topics petitioning for the new logo to be removed. You're all completely entitled to your own opinions and we are not against you guys voicing these opinions, but we'd rather not have any suggestion topics requesting something to be removed when it isn't live yet. 0 players like this post!
